Well, we now know what Trumpcare looks like. It's basically Obamacare Lite. It rips out Obamacare cost containment measures and makes healthcare insurance for lower income people very difficult if not impossible. They are going to dump a lot of Medicaid money on the states and let them figure it out.

Premiums or older folks will almost double. Currently older folks pay 3 times the going rate. Under Trumpcare they will by 5 times the going rate. Trumpcare narrows the risk pool by allowing healthy people to not have insurance. That will make the risk poll more risky and therefore more expensive. Trumpcare does virtually nothing to limit or contain costs. Trumpcare does nothing to fix the problems faced by Obamacare which makes this exercise even more silly and more wasteful than it already is.

It turns out former Speaker Boehner was correct a few days ago when he predicted Republicans would put a
"conservative box" around Obamacare and call it Trumpcare. That's exactly what Republicans have done. And that fact has not been lost on a a few Republicans and right wing political groups. It will be interesting to see how this plays out.

Trumpcare? Yes or No? I say no.

Republicans have lied themselves into a corner. They have made impossible promises, and now they have to deliver on those impossible promises. It will be interesting. I'm ready for the show. The sad part is, millions of folks are legitimately fearful. They may lose their healthcare, and I think it safe to say this won't be solved any time soon. Now we'll see how great Trump is at negotiating deals. I've watched Trump for years and he has yet to impress me. I don't expect he'll start now.

300k is not that much compared to the cost of healthcare. given that the republican plan would probably inevitibly reduce the amount insurance covers you'd be surprised how quickly you can burn through 300k.

What they should have done is have two paths for health care, one for Democrats and one for Republicans, each paid for by taxes on their respective voter base. Once ObamaCare went bankrupt, due to Democrats not wanting to pay for their disaster, the rats would have jumped ship.

Trump is a nice guy and will not let the progressive drown, as they should. The new law has three layers, with the first layer introduced. Narrow minds will think this is the entire law.

This is great entertainment, watching the Repubs fight over how bad the AHCA should really be. Too bad the final result will hurt Americans. Should it just be a repeal with no replace? Or a repeal and replace with something more shitty than the ACA? It shows that when the GOP in the House voted to repeal the ACA fifty-two times, they never gave a thought to the outcome. Basically, how bad do the Repubs want to screw the American people? Get ready for it . . . .

Except your plan isn't feasible. If it were, I don't think Democrats would have any problems with it. But it's not. Let me remind you, Democratic areas of the country are responsible for producing two thirds of the nation's wealth. Republicans won the poor states.

Trump isn't a nice guy. He is completely without a moral backbone. He's first, last, and always a narcissist. He's a pathological liar and pathological liars are not nice guys.

Well thats the thang... sure... Trumpcare will cost more an cover less for the people in most need... but what they need to do is not get sick until they save a But-load of money in a HSA to help pay ther health bill... it gives the individual more freedon an control over ther health needs... its kinda like bein president of you'r own self-funded insurance company.!!!

The AMA came out against the plan today. The funny thing is, Trump is calling it Ryancare and Ryan is calling it Trumpcare. That is kind of funny.

Neither one of them wants to own the plan.

It's increasingly looking like this bill is going nowhere fast. It looks like within just 6 short weeks Trump has managed to split the Republican Party. Trump's first major piece of legislation appears to be headed toward the trash can. I cannot say I'm surprised. Trump doesn't want his name on it. Ryan doesn't want his name on it. The American right wing appears to be in a state of chaos.

Eight years of right wing demogoguery is coming home to roost.

Trump has made many promises that he cannot possibly deliver. Healthcare is just one. He has promised his wall which Mexico will pay for, a trillion dollars in infrastructure spending, another 12 trillion plus dollars in tax cuts, 600 billion in additional defense spending, and he's going to pay off the debt in 8 years. Now the shit hits the fan. Eight plus years of Republican lies are coming home to roost.

It appears Trumpcare will make healthcare unaffordable for many millions of Americans. It doesn't control healthcare costs at all. In fact, premiums will spike as they had before Obamacare. The ranks of the uninsured will skyrocket and they'll be back in emergency rooms. Their care will not be paid for and hospitals will not be subsidized as they were before Obamacare. The risk pool narrows even further. The insured will be mostly higher risk individuals as people wouldn't be required to have healthcare insurance. Trumpcare isn't a pretty picture. They plugged the Obamcare hole, but they opened even bigger holes in order to save face.

Trump is a conniving shyster and has conned the American people into electing him (well, the stupid ones anyhow). I still wake up some mornings and I can't believe he is our president. I didn't care much for G.W. Bush but I never felt this way about him. Actually, I think G.W. has a basically good heart and might have been a pretty good president if he had chosen better people to advise him. But this administration is rotten to its core.

Bernie Sanders just called the House plan (AHCA) "Robin Hood in reverse."
