It has been estimated that up to 1/2 of us citizens are suffering from election stress disorder and/or post election stress disorder.

    Your thoughts?

Screw 'em. Whining about not having elected an insider, a possible criminal, a psychopath...

Instead of an actor or entertainer. Cue up some Reagan press conferences, anyone? Please?

The 'meme', "I'm literally shaking!", has been repeated by so many Shillarys that it's lost its appeal by now. Suck it up and drive on, babies.

. . . and instead elected a rapist, a known criminal, a serial abuser of women, and a habitual liar.

    Yep, we're in great shape.

What happened? We didn't elect a rapist. We could have elected a habitual liar and criminal.

The pendulum swings back, and all the hand-wringing and fuckwit whining is by the left. Does anyone recall any Republican protests and riots when Obama was elected?

I voted for Obama, by the way, just so you don't get more confused.

Stress generated by too much Facebook and Twitter? Or stress generated by a terrible sense of loss, that the country is moving away from the bullshit SJW Bowdlerism and revisionist history that has become so popular these days? Try to find a recently-published children's story of Br'er Rabbit. Or Huckleberry Finn. Was Jesus gay? Did Gautama give any fucks?

Take all the offense you like: I don't give a damn. Grow the hell up. (Not you, Sculptor, the readers..)

Oh, sorry. Are you not from the US? Here in the US, Trump was elected. And his former wife, Ivana, said he raped her. His defense was that it wasn't rape, because it's impossible to rape your wife.
    Republicans certainly cannot.

Conservatives forget history in discrediting Trump protesters

    . . . .

Obama’s election in 2008 was preceded and followed by violent attacks and property destruction targeted against minorities.

Kaylon Johnson, an African American campaign worker for Obama, was physically assaulted for wearing an Obama T-shirt in Louisiana following the 2008 election. The three white male attackers shouted “Fuck Obama!” and “Nigger president!” as they broke Johnson’s nose and fractured his eye-socket, requiring surgery.

More frequently, Obama’s presidency was marked by effigies of our first black president hanging from nooses across the country, for example in Kentucky, Washington State, and Maine, or being burned around the world. What Trump supporters fail to remember is that following Obama’s election, property was destroyed across the country, for example in Pennsylvania, Texas, and North Carolina, and a predominately black church was torched in Massachusetts.

In 2008, anti-Obama protesters lashed out against minorities because of their discontentment with a black man being voted into the office of president for the first time in our nation’s history. Conversely, in 2016, anti-Trump protesters are holding mostly peaceful demonstrations because of their discontentment with a man, who has ostracized minorities, being voted into the office of president.

And while anti-Trump protesters have engaged in mostly peaceful demonstrations against the president-elect, pro-Trump supporters have been responsible for a wave of attacks against Muslims, Latinos, blacks, and the LGBT community.

According to Mark Potok, senior fellow at the Southern Poverty Law Center civil rights group, there haven’t been “such a rash of hate crimes in the United States since Barack Obama was elected America’s first black president in 2008.” Muslim women are reporting having their hijabs ripped from their heads, while immigrant children are being bullied. Trump’s name and slogan, “Make America Great Again,” are being found alongside swastikas and anti-minority messages in graffiti around the nation.

    Na und?

You found some examples, but you ignore the fact that I have never voted Republican, and neither had many people that didn't vote for the beast Clinton. Until now.

As I said, what happened? Was it OK to elect Bill? Was it totally cromulent to elect Reagan, an obvious puppet, or for that matter, anyone since Kennedy? I call bullshit.

We did elect a habitual liar and criminal. And also a probable rapist.
Yep. And a huge boom in gun and ammo sales among neo-Confederate white guys, coupled with weeks of handwringing and whining and public tantrums - just to add a scary level of immaturity and instability on top of serious threats. It actually looked a bit disconcertingly hazardous out there, for a while.

In addition, the Republicans in Congress got together, the day after the inauguration, and made a solemn pact to organize what amounted to a Congressional tantrum: they agreed to attempt to block anything Obama proposed, regardless of merit or national need. They didn't quite succeed- sticking us with a deliberately vandalized version of the Obamacare they couldn't quite block, a couple of other things the Dems managed to shove through in the nine month legislative window they had a majority vote - but at one point we had a US Senator filibustering his own sponsored legislation, and at another we had a direct threat of a Republican engineered default on the US national debt.

    Clown city.

Those guys are in charge now. They are running your country. This is not a relaxing situation.
You do realize that you Trump guys are even whiny and pouting and petulant - which is what that is - now? That handwringing and baby behavior is so ingrained in you that you can't even shut the whine off when you win?

btw: If you are looking for a good read, cheap and used or a bit more money for the brand new trade paperback, with the complete and originally published story of Huck Finn and Nigger Jim rafting down the river, here: http://www.powells.com/book/adventures-of-huckleberry-finn-9780375757372

Liberals, and those who love literature are often liberals, don't go in for language policing. Rightwingers, like Trump and his backers, and Pence and his crowd, are famous for it - they burn books. Wait until Pence has a congenial Supreme Court Justice or two in place, and see what develops in the censorship and "politically correct" line - say, in school textbooks, or official government climate analysis.

Here's an even more interesting newly published read, for those interested in the unBowdlerized: http://www.booksamillion.com/p/Adventures-Huckleberry-Finn/Mark-Twain/Q373443191

I was not addressing who you voted for. Why do you bring it up? Do you want to talk about it?

I was addressing your statement. If, by your standards of proof, Clinton was a habitual liar and criminal, then Trump was certainly a rapist. His wife said so.
What happened? The country voted for Clinton. The electoral college elected Trump.

It will be fun to watch the far-right try to defend him over the next four years.

So my question is: did you make it up or just misread? Care to explain? [edit: notwithstanding that the story is probably fake and definitely badly written]

Bear in mind that what you are claiming suggests that virtually everyone who voted for Hillary Clinton or a 3rd party candidate is mentally ill. Do you really want to go there?

The game is over the losers think they should have won the losers think it is unfair.
The only way to go is try and work together.
Kiss and make up or have another civil war.
And maybe save criticism until he has done something in office.
    Turn the page.

Agreed. Been that way for a long time now.

So, the people are going to get something done now? Which people, and what the hell can they fuck up next?

The rest of the world is supposed to look to the USA as providing the example of democracy in action.
Rather poor form if after your elections the losers behave like children who did not get their way and run around ha ing a big sook.
The rest of the world has concerns which are being exacerbated by the losers poor performance.
If you value your share portfolios and real estate would it not best best to settle down lest the rest of the world panics in despair.

    Hooray!

Alt-right leader: 'Hail Trump! Hail our people! Hail victory!'

"Her coalition was made up of mutually hostile tribes only united out of a hatred of 'whitey' -- that is to say, out of a hatred of us," Spencer said.

"America was, until this last generation, a white country, designed for ourselves and our posterity. It is our creation and our inheritance, and it belongs to us," Spencer said.

"One wonders if these people are people at all, or instead soulless golem," Spencer said in a reference to a Jewish fable in a portion of his speech dedicated to criticizing both the media and Jews.

Even though I dissed the author, Thoreau, maybe people need a vacation in the woods. Seems a Trump victory incites.
