"Donald Trump is a “revolting slug” unfit for public office, according to the New South Wales parliament’s upper house"
I actually find that an apt description of the sl.., er man.

I remember when his first songs debuted on the radio. They fit the Baby Boomer Counterculture perfectly. His "singing" sounded more like speaking, which was guaranteed to alienate our parents, who had barely managed to tolerate Elvis, but not Little Richard. His angry lyrics were the preamble to the hippie movement.

And of course, anybody who could play three chords on a guitar could perform his songs with no trouble! I was the designated folksinger in my college class (i.e., the only guy who could play a guitar), so I learned almost all of them.

I never had a favorite, but looking back on the era now, I'd easily choose "Blowin' in the Wind." Probably because Peter, Paul and Mary's version was so powerful.

Listening to Margaret Atwood on the telly who thought that the Swedes may have chosen him to give a message to America ,caught up as it is in this weird Trump phenomenon.

If so , then am I a "Pawn in the Swedish Academy's Game" as I made the connection so quickly?

Separately I cannot understand those who say Bob cannot sing or play the guitar.I think he is superb at both. When you cannot sing yourself (or play the guitar very well either) ** you are perhaps better positioned to be amazed at his all round musicianship.

By the way ,the man I am thinking of who was dissing these abilities was still a fan. His lyrics obviously "pulled him through"

I have never been able to perform any of his supposedly simple songs to any level of competence.

Choose a favourite song? Where to begin? "To Ramona" would be one of my favourites.
