Nothing to do with humans. You do not need images in your mind to do it, so that shows you can masturbate without any human image in your brain.

I am staying a virgin all my life and proud of it, and at 38 never regretted this. Glad i knew when i was young, seems like i knew more about certain things very young than most will never ever work out and that includes people whom claim they are very intelligent.

Yes I'd like to know the answer to this question. I'm a virgin (without children.)

I have many regrets but being a virgin doesn't make my regret list. I've always been an introvert, and that factors into the situation greatly. Close physical contact isn't much of a need for me. BBC gave a brief physiological description of what happens during copulation recently, which implied how it can give a superior pleasurable feeling than masturbation when trying to satisfy the sex drive.

Like i always said, i doubt it really is that great and i have no idea what i missed out on.

Being someone that fits into society matters when your young, but once your past your energy peak as a male, and mine came at 22 or 23, it does not matter one bit anymore. Females have there energy peak later.

So i doubt the act of sex is really as good as what people think it is, but the only thing people that do not do it miss out on, is to be able to share that closeness, or intimacy.

That level of intimacy is the only thing about it that i and others whom do not want to know will not feel. But i doubt the physical part of sex is that great really, its just sharing that experience which is what people want. Some people probably can have sex with anyone, while others can only share that moment with someone that makes a higher connection with them.

I only think i missed out on was being able to place my trust in another and never having that intimacy with others. Its the only thing virgins miss out on really, i doubt the act of physical sex really is that great.

I don't think the physical interaction with another in sex would be enough better than when alone to bridge the very great gap for me between the pleasure from sharing ideas and physical pleasure. Idea-related stuff is so much better than physical stuff for me.

Most men peak around age 17-19; most women in their mid-30s.

This amazing statement reminds me of Mr. Mackey on "South Park" proclaiming, "Since I have never taken drugs, I know that they have nothing to offer."

I do hope that you're having some sort of sexual activity. Otherwise you're setting yourself up for prostate problems, the treatment for which is something no one would voluntarily undergo. Nocturnal emissions do not occur frequently enough to keep the prostate from swelling.

Interesting comment. Basically you're saying that the vast majority of the more than one hundred billion human beings who have lived on this planet, engaged in intercourse, and knew what it's like, are wrong; while you, who lack that experience and have no idea what it's like, are right.

I gather that you have never taken a university-level course in logic.

Actually you just reminded me of a study I saw a while back which found orgasming once a day for men has the same protective effect against prostate cancer that breastfeeding does for women against breast cancer

If only 5% of people in the entire world remain virgins their entire life then how many are virgins and not by choice? I guess that number should be much less than 5% of the world's population.

I am a virgin and it's definitely not by choice so I wonder if people like me make less than 1% of the global population.

People always assume that people who live full life as virgins are doing so by their own free will but many who are virgins for life are actually so because they are socially excluded or just not attractive to the opposite sex and so it's definitely not by choice.

First it would be nice to know your age, just to know what all your life means at this time. Next you sound very frustrated and disappointed about you inability to get laid. I would think if you were to break the ice, you might be able to relax a bit and approach relationships as more than an opportunity to have sex for the first time. I guess what I'm trying to tell you is go out and pay for it at least once. Solve your virginity problem, gain a little confidence in yourself and your chances will increase.

I can't speak for the female of the species but...
About 20 years a guy came into my shop and said (not quite but almost) "I need a friend", Given some rather obvious problems which later turned out to be due to cerebral palsy I could see he was probably telling the truth. I've moved away and haven't seen M* for four years (I really must send write) but that's just me being lazy. If he hadn't made the effort we'd both have lost something and I wouldn't be posting this here.

Wow. It's gone on for 10 pages and never really touched the OP's troll. Or I missed it in the stupidstorm that followed.

It seems likely that for every man out there who is an unwilling virgin, there is a woman out there who suffers the same disappointment.

Maybe it boils down to where and when to meet, and who will make the first move.

My favorite "hunting grounds" were universities.
I am attracted to intelligent well educated women, and prefer strong minded women.
    and then, (part 2)
Being as I am rather shy, most "first steps" were taken by women. (though my beloved spouse once declared that I gave off lots of vibes/signals)

I did make myself available, and gladly acquiesced to their needs/our needs.
    Mutually beneficial symbiosis in action.

Ah. It was resurrected by Pluto2 in post 188.

I wonder how many people lost their virginity between post 187 and post 188...

    I won't be surprised if I will turn 90, 120 and 150, 180 and will still be a virgin.

As another poster in another forum said, women are a evil gender and the reason guys don't like to admit it is because they don't want women hating on them.

How are they supposed to mate with you emotionless drones if you hate them?

Women don't actually carry empathy or feelings for others and deep down I think every guy knows this.

This is why we always want a male president.

    Uh. Point-of-order.
This coming from the same guy who, in another thread, told us about a sexist-racist comment he'd committed and complained when he got thumped for it?

Reported as both sexist and generally mean-hearted.

This is the Human Science section, after all.
