In the new testament the characters were present ( Mary his mother as a witness ) Genesis #2 could be a metaphor, Genesis # 1 the sequence of events is presented parallel to present scientific understanding, It was written long time ago , ( thousands years ago ) Present theory of evolution is since Darwin's work on Galapagos Island and other about year 1800. Darwin was a bible reader , it could have been he have taken the Genesis # 1 explored it and brought into focus with his observation in lower form of animals.

Right. Or Genesis 2 could be their best scientific estimate and Genesis 1 was intended purely as a metaphor. Hard to tell what they meant, especially since they were written by two different authors.

Well you take it to bake your argument and I take Gen # 1 for my position .

OK. Note that our positions are equally valid - which reinforces the concept that you should NEVER mistake the Bible (or any religious book) for a science book.

That's why we have such good stories in the bible.

Same as the Irish who used hemp for all kinds of purposes. Where do you think Leprechauns came from?

And how did Gorillas manage to survive all this time? Well, at least until man came along and used gorilla's hands for ashtrays.

Gorillas are very smart hominids, but their environment does not require greater brainpower, so brain evolution was not necessary.

They did evolve to enormous size and strength, which was required by their environment.

Evolution does not always involve brain power. Evolution (natural selection) is toward perfect adaption to the environment.

But if we look at Koko, the famous gorilla who is able to form and communicate very sophisticated ideas and even plays jokes. Famous story of Robin Williams visiting Koko. She made him wear a bunny suit and was delighted with her little joke when he complied. Koko was given a Manx kitten (no tail) and she spontaneously named it "All Ball", because Manx kittens are stocky and roundish when very young.

IMO, that is very sophisticated thinking. Naming your adopted child and grieving for days when the kitten was run over by a car, is very human. To see her sitting by the window in the evening, mourning her beloved kitten was heart rending.

Why is the concept that all hominids came from a common ancestor so difficult to accept? IMO, the idea that we are a special creation for a god-only-knows purpose is ludicrous.

Whereas most hominids live in stable environments which fills their needs, intelligence is not a *necessity*for survival. The slime-mold has no brain, yet it can solve a maze to reach a food source.

OTOH, humans are scavengers and all scavengers are known to be extremely curious and resourceful. Because we are physically inferior to many other species, only the smartest hominid scavengers survived and evolved into homo sapiens.

And of course there is the chromosome mutation which fused 2 hominid chromosomes into a single chromosome and may have been causal in the evolution of homo sapiens.

Can you say when the common ancestor died, when did the chimp was produced , when gorilla was produced ., when Ardi was produced ? If you don't know who Ardi is as the linguistic moderator, he will fill you in .

Why is that so important? Why do you look different from your neighbor? When did that difference begin to show up in your lineages? If humans were made in the image of god, we should all look alike, no?

I don't want to hear about lack of *intermediate species* fossils. There are plenty examples of intermediate species. You want a specimen (intermediate species) of every single organism from every century of 4 billion years of evolution?

I don't want to hear about *irreducible complexity*, which has been thoroughly debunked.

IMO, every living thing on earth started from a grouping of biomolecules at some time in the past. That is enough to know for my purposes. Exactly when or where is irrelevant to me.

You see, my attitude prevents discrimination. I respect all life in all its forms, from the slime-mold to Einstein. Ponder that.

    Here is a goodie,

I think your understanding of your last sentence is wrong . You are implying our physical appearance . God is spirit and not flesh . God created man his image as a creator , man is a creator, biologically we might be very similar to an ape , but mentally or intellectually we are different , why because somehow the spirit of God changed the development of the brain during implantation. So most human are more creative then than any aoe animal or animal.

So your position is that man is the off-spring of god? I think your understanding of biology is wrong.

Yes, man can do a lot of things, except we cannot shape-shift and become invisible, like the cuttlefish. Or create a queen bee like bees do. I am sure god can, so the cuttlefish and the honey bee are also in the image of god "during implantation".

Please explain the phrase "during implantation". Implantation of what, to whom, and by whom?

And as far as creativity goes, we are well on our way to un-create (destroy) what was also created by god to begin with, including the Bonobo Chimp (probably the most peaceful and generous species on earth), as well as the Gorilla and Orangutan, all close cousins of man. Now what?

    Mod Note

A reminder to timojin that preaching and evangelising are distinctly against this site's rules. This thread was clearly your intent to dismiss scientific theory and preach. I had considered sending it to Religion, but your preaching and evangelising has prevented my even doing that.

Your OP misrepresented what you linked and your agenda or intent was clear from the outset.

    Thread closed and Cesspooled.
