There are many obvious signs that the world economy is starting to weaken again. I don't really feel like listing them all, or defending the proposition. I was just curious to see if anyone else thought the world economy was about to take a serious downturn.

    What do you guys think?

I wouldn't say crash, more like a continuation of it's long slow decent.

That said, it depends on where you are at in the economy. If you're a Baby Generation SlumLord who milked the Housing Scam, had your 401K and pension bailed out and now live off the working poor, life is good. If you're a Millennial working two jobs to make rent to your SlumLord and paying for said bailout, maybe not, life probably feels like a crash. But that's okay, because your grandparents got to retire in their 40s and 50s and you get to pay for it.

    So, not a 'crash'.
More like a slow decent. Think of it as normalization.
The Guardian: Millennials of New York earn 20% less than prior generation

That "Economic Recovery" you're waiting for, might take a little longer, say another 20 - 30 years. At which time, you'll probably be stuck with a funeral bill

Your thread title doesn't match the question in the post (which also contains conflicting points). So which is it: is the economy starting to weaken, crashing now or is it about to crash? Which did you mean to ask us?

Anyway, yeah, "many obvious signs" and you "don't really feel like listing"....any? Transparent you are. Trolling this is.

The "signs" can't be that obvious if you're the only person seeing them. What evidence has lead you to your belief?

You don't feel like defending the proposition? Then I don't feel like taking your opinion seriously.

Simply positing such a question and then saying that "I don't really feel like listing them all, or defending the proposition" is not really conducive to a discussion, nor is it encouraging a discussion. If you don't feel like listing what you believe are the "signs" that the economy is starting to weaken and you do not feel like defending the proposition, why start a thread about it? What is the actual point of a new discussion about this topic if the person who started the OP has no real intention of discussing it?

Futilitist believes the world economy is crashing, but refuses and does not feel like providing any form of evidence to support this position, and does not feel like defending his proposition (or support it)..

One could say this discussion is currently being discussed in the ETP thread.

    Ergo, thread closed.
