Yoiu are not qualified to assert that.
You conveniently failed to mention that the flashlight is in constant motion. Ever twirled a sparkly in the dark?
yes, it is the after image, but strangely it has changed color. So it is not a real afterimage of the lilac dot, that's why it is called an optical illusion. yes, it proves my point.

Try twirling a sparkly in the dark. I guarantee, you will see an afterimage in spite of being in total darkness.

No..ghosts don't look like twirling sparkly afterimages of flashlight beams. See the 4 videos I have already posted.

It is called a negative afterimage when the colors reverse. Look it up.

I already know all about afterimages. I've been living on earth with light for 56 years now. Everyone knows when they see one. It looks nothing like a human figure or a ghost. Your theory is totally ludicrous.

Yes, I gave you that courtesy.
    They proved NOTHING.
Oh, I did, apparently long before you. Nothing spiritual there.
. You could be my son.
My theory? So now you are dismissing science in favor of Your theory of ghosts and a few blurry images as proof? And with "everyone", you mean of course those few who are either *spiritually inclined* or the clever hucksters who make money on false or fake recordings of unidentifiable spooky images and noises. Brrrrrrrrrrr!

But, you just go on believing in ghosts, it makes for great stories sitting around the campfire.

Oh so now you're "science"? Wow..that's quite some authority there. Who would ever question YOU? Unless you claim some ad hoc theory that ghosts are afterimages of flashlight beams. lol!

I will. Not that I ever needed YOUR permission.

And I've never told a ghost story in my life. So again you have no idea what you're talking about.

You are quite the spin-meister aren't you?
Of course not, in fact I am encouraging you in your quest.
Seems to me you just FINISHED telling ghost stories, on a science forum no less.

I posted real evidence of paranormal encounters in a forum dedicated to that topic. I haven't told one "ghost story" here.

Ah, you are actually just a hearsay reporter of ghost stories (without credible scientific evidence), but you (yourself) are not part of *everyone* who believe they have actually seen a ghost.

Keep looking....who knows, someday you may prove the existence of real ghosts and thereby disproving my opinion that ghosts are just optical illusions.

Right..I take people at their word just like we all do everyday without being a dick and demanding it have scientific evidence. And I never said "everyone" believes they have seen a ghost. It doesn't suit you to lie at this point.

The paranormal has been more than proven enough to me through observing hundreds of investigations, eyewitness accounts by the thousands, dozens of poltergeist cases documented by journalists and police reports, and events in my own life. At this point it's pretty much a given, like the existence of gravity or cosmic rays.

"We are often asked, "What exactly does paranormal mean?" The term paranormal is used to describe a wide variety of activity and phenomena. According to the Journal of Parapsychology (a quarterly publication devoted primarily to the original publication of experimental results and other research findings as published by the Parapsychological Association), the term paranormal describes "any phenomenon that in one or more respects exceeds the limits of what is deemed physically possible according to current scientific assumptions." The actual word is derived from the Latin use of the prefix para meaning "outside or beyond" what is considered normal.

Many people associate the term paranormal as only dealing with hauntings and ghosts. However, the paranormal also includes subjects considered to be outside the scope of parapsychology including UFOs, cryptozoology, telepathy, ESP, faith healing, clairvoyance, and many other subjects."===http://www.milwaukeeparanormal.com/What-IS-Paranormal.html

You're wrong. I saw nothing - nothing that I wouldn't see in any poor-quality video.

You seem to think I don't "want to believe". You're wrong. I have no axe to grind. I have no problem accepting that "something" exists - if there was any good evidence. But the "evidence" you present is really, really, incredibly, awfully, BAD. And the "explanation" you suggest - ghosts - is unconnected to the "evidence".

I've provided around 15 pieces of evidence in this thread alone. Some video. Some audio. And others eyewitness accounts. What would it take to convince you the paranormal was real? A repeatable ghost in laboratory setting? That's not going to happen.

It would take something better than a tiny blip on a video. It doesn't make any difference how many videos you have with tiny blips. Tiny blips don't add up to useable evidence.

I posted full body apparitions captured on video and FLIR and camera. So suddenly that's a "blip."?
I think you'll just dismiss any evidence no matter what. It's the way of the blind skeptic who just knows there's no such thing as the paranormal. I might as well be arguing with a fundamentalist.

I don't waste time on all of your videos. Why do you post so many bad ones? Give me a link to the good one and I'll have a look at it.

No..I've already posted them here. Go find them yourself. I'm not reposting stuff just because people don't want to look at it the first time. We all know you'll just claim they're faked anyway. That's the standard line around here.

Right..because everybody knows the image on camera of a fast moving object traveling twice across a hallway isn't as real as a slow moving one. lol!
