Will neuroscience overshadow philosophy?

Question and ask why ; are to me the fundamentals of philosophy; neuroscience is the how.

One analogy for the difference between philosophy and neuroscience, is philosophy is more analogous to a software based solution, while neuroscience is more analogous to a hardware based solution. Each deals with part of the whole, in terms of the mind/brain. The mind/brain is composed of firmware, which has attributes of hardware and software.

As an analogy, if we have a PC ,we can install a sound board to enhance the audio output. We can also do this with software. It may not be easy to tell which is which based on output, alone.

One can use a hardware induction, such as a drug, to become stimulated. One can also do this with software, such as memory recall from glory days and brain software to trigger a strong feeling of energy. Most people prefer the hardware path, since popping a pill is easy. An imagination or software induction needs good memories or a good imagination.

If I think of sad things; fixation, I can use a software induction to change the hardware settings. I can cause myself to become depressed, which if done too long, can create a hardware loop; chemical change. The analogy is like installing audio software on top of audio hardware. If we stop the audio software; change our mindset, the hardware sound board may still be active at those settings. This may need a hardware solution to tweak the sound board. It can be done with software, but this may be harder fro most. Both are useful if the goal is to cover all possible scenarios.

One problem with hard ware solutions are side affects. Name me one drug that lacks all side affects. Side affects can alter other hardware settings beyond the intent. You may fix the sound board, but mess up the video card. Software solutions tend to have less detrimental impact on the hardware. If the software is too powerful, it may not even run; fail safe. But drugs, no matter how powerful, will run; OD.
