Did you post this in the wrong forum? Should this be in the relationships forum? Are you looking for advice? No, your first encounter with a boy will probably not go like in the movies. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
No, not in the wrong forum. I agree - the first encounter will generally be unscripted. Hence the temptation (of parents) to try to write the script for their sons and daughters. If we say of a family "Their script is wrong." are we suggesting we have a better script or that there should be no attempt at scripting that first encounter? Anyone who thinks they have a 'good' script might like to share it here. -C2.
Let's step back to 1974. A residential college for (mostly) girls. When welcoming all to the college the Dean (housemaster, whatever) dwells on the subject of sex and relationships. I think "Yay, and the devil was strong within him." would give a fair impression of his views on sex. The upshot is that girls could reasonably expect to have a first (or subsequent) encounter (with him) in a safe and uncaring environment. It might help to know that education was free in the UK at that time. The selection process for colleges and universities was impenetrable. If a college consistently selected young pretty girls it would be impossible to prove any bias. So, a safe, uncaring environment for a first encounter - does anyone have any thoughts?
