I think blacks were viewed as being less than human, which is how the denial of human rights was justified. Kinda how the fetus is viewed by many today.

Rights and entitlements is an interesting issue. I think that if you pay into a specific program, then you are entitled to its benefits--such as social security. We pay taxes at the gas pump, we should get a return by having better roads. I think the problem develops when one group is shouldering the cost for another group. I think everyone agrees that we don't want people starving in the streets, but a problem might arise when the one group becomes dependent on the other and gives nothing back in return.

Wouldn't it be a world shattering paradigm shift if we just looked at ALL humans as "one group"? Failing that, can we not consider all people in the USA as one group?

I mean, WTF - is this such a hard concept?

    Holy shit, you are racist.

You are actually equating thinking adults with tiny lumps of flesh that can't think let alone survive on their own because the adults are black.

Sure you do. People are allowed to live as long as they pay.
So you think everyone agrees, but you think that everyone is wrong.

Like fetuses! Sounds like you support terminating their dependence on others.

Sacrilege! According to the right wingnut handbook, fetuses are a special class and have a right to their entitlements. Until they are born...

Hah! Here I was just thinking he had just described both my pregnancies with that statement..

Not even going to go into the fact that the two little blighters are still totally dependent on me, eating my food, using my stuff and giving nothing but cheek in return!
