Guess you forgot about all that photo and eyewitness evidence we were just discussing---for ghosts AND for platypuses.

If you say so. Like I said before, if even ONE of your "cases" was true, it would be a world event and a world discussion. As it is, it's just you presenting BS on the BS section of a science forum.

That's true. All it would take is one good documented poltergeist case. Fortunately there are dozens of them. The fact that scientists almost uniformly ignore these cases says more about their need for funding than their interest in finding out the truth. Noone wants their boat rocked, particularly at a 6 figure salary.

It's been explained to you time and time and time and time again exactly why photos and eyewitness anecdotes aren't good enough to prove the existence of alien spaceships, ghosts, bigfoot and everything else.

But, but, we even have movies of ghosts and how to capture them. It's all explained in the movie *"Ghostbusters*......jeeeez...

The Big Bang, black holes, and quantum entanglement are conjectures, subject to change every time another mathematical model is devised.
If ghosts belong in that category, I wonder they don't attract the attention of more big-league scientists.
If the ghosts exist, they can fend for themselves. I still see no reason why "we" need them - and even less why they need us.

Aww. Is it upset? Don't be. Let it go because aren't you the big mean soldier (male or female, no one is sure about that) that can carry a 70-lb pack for many miles?

BTW, while in the service did you tell ghost stories? Or stories about fairies that you've seen? I'll bet that was entertaining for the troops.

And it's been shown to you time and time again that photos and eyewitness testimony are sufficient to send a man to the gas chamber. So they are definitely good enough to prove the existence of ghosts.

Actually they're real things that have proof for their existence. So no..they're not conjectures.

Peer acceptance and funding explains everything about that. No scientist is going besmirch his reputation with research into paranormal phenomena. It's an instant career killer.

Yes they can. But here's how science operates. If there is a chance of discovering a new entity, be it the Higgs boson or dark matter, then they do so. It doesn't matter if the research is without use to us or fails to help us in anyway. The mere existence of said entity is sufficient reason to study it. That's the nature of real science.

That is a *vaporous* argument. People were drowned by the words of a few little girls at the Salem witch trials.

Crime photos and "corroborated" eyewitness testimony in courts of law are just a little different than a breathless account or a picture of a ghost who appeared momentarily and was never "actually" seen again. And it is easy to make an accidental double exposure in a photograph. I have done it myself many times , on purpose, to get a specific gjostlike effect.

You can order a portrait with the ghost (double exposure) of your loved one inside your head.

Are these pictures of ghosts or double exposures?

No it isn't. It is an analysis of what is considered evidence and its role in deciding what is true. Photo evidence and eyewitness testimony are regularly used in trials, arrests, news stories, historical documentaries, etc. It is a cultural fact that we all accept them as solid evidence. The lie that it isn't is just a cop out to deny the existence of what you don't want to believe in. Ghosts exist and the evidence is there for all to see.

I see. So because any photo can be faked, therefore all photos are fake. Or else some lens flare that just happens to look just like a transparent person. Not only is that false, but it is ludicrous. You sound like a really shitty photographer btw. Don't quit your day job.

Well then, that compelling answer to my question definitely proves ghosts do exist...

Don't worry about it. Ghosts are like bees: if you don't bother them, they won't bother you.

As far as we know. Our perceptions are limited by our own senses. There is a huge spectrum of light, yet we can see only a fraction.
I would agree with you here. In all my years I have yet to see a specter.

    Interesting.

I know how to stay clear from bees. In fact we have a beehive nearby and in summertime they are busy pollinating my garden flowers and apple trees. I admire bees as probably the most benign and useful being on earth, their activity feeds some 70% of all surface life on earth. I'll be the last person to harm a bee, or even bother them.

But how do you bother a ghost? From what I'm told, ghosts bother us, except maybe in that tv show where they go looking for ghosts in dark dank places with flashlights and hushed voices, so they can hear every moan and creak that may be caused by a ghost.

btw. if ghost live at a different wavelength from the material world, how are immaterial ghost able to make sounds (at our wavelengths) and affect material things (which require physical force). A new science?

Is *entanglement* a property of ghosts? Even Einstein said, "spooky action at a distance", so he must have believed in ghosts. Confirmation of your theory that "we (and the universe) need ghosts" ?

Are ghosts the same as spooks? Or do we just get spooked by ghosts?

p.s. have you figured out yet if those pictures are double exposures or ghosts? I'm still waiting for your *knowledgeable* answer.

Oh, and if you have proof of ghost, I'll lend you my Linhof Technika so you can get a good clear picture.

You sound quite ignorant of paranormal phenomena. I suggest reading up on it from websites and books and documentaries like I have for the past 15 years. Did you know libraries have books all about this? Somehow I think you're not going to do that though what with all your double exposures and malfunctioning cameras and such. One wouldn't want to expand one's paradigm much beyond that.
