The fact that we have so many religion it is a human problem , not Gods because there is only one God . We human are looking for God from the beginning . Hopefully in the future we will agree on one .

If you think that the sacred texts where the idea of God comes from are actually a product of God, however indirectly, I'd say He has major issues with communication.

Really? I'd say that prediction is just your opinion based on faith rather than logic. Perfectly fine for you but irrelevant to me. If you believe in life you believe there must be a God. That's what you must believe not what I must believe. I don't believe in God for sure not the one you believe in. Make sense with your next prediction.

No there isn't a God. You say yes I say no ..... Yada, Yada, Yada. There's 0 God. 0 < 1. One < you predict.

Men create gods but gods do not create men. I am not sure if I made that up or read it someplace.

May I ask can gods stop suffering both for humans and annimals. If not why not? If yes why does he allow suffering.

Why does gods plan let millions die in war.
Why do folks think gods are above decency, mercy and compassion.
If I had the power to relieve the suffering well I most certainly would.
The presence of life does not suggest a god or gods it suggests there is no supernatural being who gives a hoot.
    Nevertheless its all about belief.
If you believe in a god or gods no doubt one can justify any catastrophy or disaster as fitting into some plan where humans and animals are victims.
Hopefully the plan is to fix up the small problems apparent in the plan.

I believe God giveth nature a free hand , In Genesis it is said go and multiply, same to man go and multiply, as far war, in the commandments He did not say go and kill , robe, lie and other . that is our free choise and there are consequences.
You have a choice to believe in god or not , and if he is there , since you don't believe , you don't have a right to expect anything from Him.

Interesting that there is a place in the bible which tell of a dispute between god and devil. The devil claimed, men can take care of themselves. God claimed that men need to be lead.

But they agreed to do a test. God let things go, and the devil did so as well.

This is what we see these days. The bad in the world, work of the devil? One can say so, since he "tricked" god into not interfering for the time being. But actually, no. It's just us. We have the chance to make it better and show we are able to make this world a good place.

Funny - it's the devil who was pro freedom here. Not the bad evil, but the bringer of freedom.

To my shame I must admit I forgot to note which verse this was. It came up in a discussion with Christians, who showed me the place in the bible - most likely with quite different expectations, wanted me to think the devil is evil, because with his trick, the world is without the lead of god curently, but it made me think, the devil was the one who gave humanity the chance to be free and self-ruled, and show that we are mature enough to stand on our own.

Thank you for sharing your belief.
It is arguable humans have free choice to kill and be cruel to animals but the victims still suffer, what can be done about that?
I once believed in god and on your account at that point had the right to expect something and my expectations were sadly not found in reality. Perhaps I just cant get past the cruelty which seems unnecessary.
Happily I cherry picked the new testament to find values I could employ in my conduct and set aside the rest. So I see the experience as positive.
Have a wonderful day and exercise your free choice to prevent cruelty to humans and animals.

Yes. This is correct, although not complete. The Devil wants to create a world of total darkness., but will fail because of his feeble minded cunning as outlined in the Bible.

Inconsistencies, scientific inaccuracy, no information that people of the time could not have known already, endorsement of slavery and immoral teachings...

    What inconsistencies?
What does it matter to you if slavery is endorsed or not?

A loving god kills children, is OK with slavery, and yet tells us to be good? Such a god is either insane and thus not worthy of admiration or non-existent. I tend to go with the latter.

Thing of it is, though, polytheistic societies tend to be more tolerant and accepting of other religions and deities, not less.

The classical theodicy issue is most applicable to the idea of an all-powerful god that can be expected to have the capability to stop such things, and an all-loving god that can be expected to care personally enough to do so. For one, not all theologies propose that deity is all-powerful. And for two, not all theologies propose the idea that deity is that concerned with individual suffering.

My view is that the gods are nature ensoulled, and that nature is the gods incarnate. Their concerns and actions are mostly a mystery to us, and their motivations likely entirely alien to a human mindset. They are forces of nature, with their own agendae.

Some of the proposed gods clearly have anger management issues.
