That was his intention when he posted the crank nonsense. The forum rules don't ask the moderation to deal with inappropriate comments about the science. I've been reprimanded many times for calling cranks something that's considered inappropriate language. The rules don't seem to include inappropriate comments associated with the discussion subject matter. They're not asking the moderation to make any decision with respect to the subject matter. It seems the rules make it easy for moderation to reduce it's overall participation in the discussions since the content is irrelevant to moderation duties. Whatever. It's become a real problem for me. It don't really enjoy calling out crank comments. I'd rather enjoy some honest discussion? So I'm constantly asking myself why am I doing this? I know what the answer is ...
BTW this precedent was set when they instituted the new format. I've remained to watch the downfall of two different forums, I participated at during member heyday, to total freefall into nonsense. If you don't make an attempt to moderate the nonsense it usually ends up bad. The participating members who respect scholarship eventually leave. At least this forum has the ignore function. To bad it makes it hard to follow a thread since most the comments are made to refute the folks you have on ignore. Thanks for your comment. This forum is a crank haven. Getting back to the substance and reasons for the OP and ignoring the god troll and the other nuts,
In essence of course, as was Illustrated with the sensationalistic Hawking says BH's do not exist headlines a while back, this is essentially all this is: Poor journalism, but just as obviously the sort of thing that the cranks need to grab hold of.

Science/cosmology knows what problems they face...They after all are asking the most fundamental of all questions: Why and How are we here!
The simple act of cosmologists daring to ask such questions, let alone giving reasonable scenarios based on current knowledge as to how everything came to be, eats at the heart of our god bothering nuts.
They see the mere act of asking the how and why as sacrilege, and attempting to answer them [other than via mythical deity] as a affront to there way of life.
But ask they will, and continue to reasonably give solutions they will also.
[Religious nuts, cranks and anti science ratbags not withstanding]

One thing we can be 100% certain of, of course, is that the solutions and questions will be solved and answered by those professionals I speak of: Not by any deluded ego inflated nobody, who can not drag himself off a common science forum, in his vain attempt to try and invalidate that which he'll never invalidate.
