Another cop out and conspiracy excuse from the forum's chief religiously inspired anti science crank.
So? Like I'm trying to get you to understand, all scientific theories at one time or another, needed to run the gauntlet. That's science, that's the scientific method, that's peer review, and in most cases it works.
And I'm even more appalled at the rubbish from the religiously inspired and ego inflated cranks with no credentials [such as yourself] that flood forums such as this with your anti science crap.Even though these forums are the only outlet you and the other nuts have, they will at all times undergo the utmost scrutiny and question, just as your own debunked BNS paper underwent.
Such stupidity, cop outs, and conspiracy claims are the work of all cranks and is the common denominator by which they are all recognised.
As I'm fond of telling the divine one, he and the other nuts are making no difference to the professional scientists at the coal front, and are just occupying cyber space for a short period before they fade into oblivion with their fairy tales.
They are the facts of the situation

Don't be so daft! Dywyddyr and myself and most others, are thinking the most reasonably logical way as shown by it being the accepted mainstream position.
Scientific theories become scientific theories because they are the most logical and best available.
The Plasma/Electric Universe hypothesis never reached the theory stage because it contradicted too many observations. Read the links I have given previously.

What does " actually know something about science " mean though?

You will need to do far more than self navel gazing to answer that question.

You call it 'run the gauntlet' ?

Paddoboy, Chandra got Nobel for that, Eddington was a well established senior scientists by then and Chandra was only 19. It was the ego, stupidity and dishonesty of Eddington, he had no scientific argument against chandra's works, still he managed to thwart his work initially.

Peer review may not work in case of any contrarion view....Tell me why there is no single peer reviewed paper in mainstream journals critically analysing GR and some related bizarreness ? And one more thing you and few here on this sub forum are supporters of mainstream not because you guys understand the subject in depth, but probably because you lack the ability to critically assess the situation beyond what popular science says.

    From wiki:
Though only 17, he enrolled in the four-year mathematics and physics teaching diploma program at the Zürich Polytechnic...
In 1900, Einstein was awarded the Zürich Polytechnic teaching diploma...

The cranks are running rampant. Looks like it is time to move to the crank section or cesspool....

This is so wrong, from beginning to end. You should be ashamed that you have bought into mythology and presented it as fact.

The real issue is it is useless to argue with a crank.

I will try to understand them and if I don't I'll ask about what I do not understand to people who do.

No, I am never tired of correcting the wrong...your problem is when confronted you run away. In that last thread you attempted to find fault with me and pasted an image to support GR, but that image was suporting Newtonian deflection not GR...When confronted you ran away. here also, you will not cite anything, you will just run away.

Show some mettle and participate meaningfully, mostly you troll only and you have been nudged by Mods for lacking in any meaningful content. Its ok to find fault, but what is your contribution.

I'm just reading about what others here believe about the "unknown" and many theories have been stated but none have as yet been confirmed. So I'll keep on reading and perhaps one day the answers will come to light.

I read many things about many subjects that interest me online or at my library. No one tells me what to read but I have over a million choices of what to read about. I have choices and I choose not to read or watch those programs you mentioned but there are others that do. That's their choice and I respect that if that is what they want to do. On my favorite list I have over 20 science magazines I read plus I do venture into other areas that , at times, interest me when I don't know anything about them.

Nah, I just got bored with arguing with an ignorant troll. Everyone with half a brain saw how incredibly stupid your misunderstanding was, so mission accomplished anyway. You are just so ignorant and arrogant that you cannot admit when you are wrong so what is the point of discussing anything with you.

Your statement below is flat out wrong:
Peer review may not work in case of any contrarion view....Tell me why there is no single peer reviewed paper in mainstream journals critically analysing GR and some related bizarreness ?

I can show you peer reviewed articles that are published (I think even Schmelzer has one) that critically analyzes GR but you still won't admit you were wrong. You are a troll and ignorant of physics.

It's this kind of thing that really identifies the cranks. There are dozens if not hundreds of high quality papers analyzing and critiquing every fundamental scientific theory, like GR, but the cranks just go by their own internet mythology of science rather than any attempt to genuinely learn.
