Comedy is a imperfection, it's more of a healer for heck than a perfect angel who is without flaw. Absolutes like love, perfection, and saftey belong in Heaven and can keep hell as a virtue . Comedy is stupid, or evil, but happy. It's a dual trait unlike love, or safety and is a virtue only inside of Hell, not a absolute virtue who keeps the Hell. [Additionally topics and vocabulary which can stimulate distress or shock in listeners, like the teaching of "rape law" and uttering or writing words like "violate".] But for the time being, comedy deemed as an avenue for instantiation of millennial thoughtcrime is largely confined to campus borders. Also, development of an outright immoral status for certain strains of (if not all) stand-up humor and comic drama would have to be chipped-off roundabout from those initial judgements by Gen-Y culture of _FITB_ being politically improper. Some comedy is a-moral. Some comedy is vulgar, crass, offensive and in bad taste. Some comedy is infantile and self-indulgent. Some comedy is witty; sharpens the mental agility and verbal skill of the listener. Some comedy is instructive: contains illustrations of politics and economics, social structure, mores, relationships, values, self-awareness and ethics. Some comedy fails to be funny.

There are many styles of comedy that we hear about. It is up to everyone to either support their favorite comedians and not support those comedians that they do not enjoy. I, for one, never understand why Saturday Night Live is bringing up President Bush to poke fun at even though he has been gone almost 8 years now. Many TV comedy shows only pick on the conservatives I've noticed and never once make fun of liberals who make as many gaffs as conservatives.
I don't know, maybe Eliot Spitzer↱ just doesn't have the staying power. I mean, seriously, nobody gives a damn about Eliot Spitzer anymore. Do they? No, seriously, what's he up to? Another irrelevant media gig? Do we care? Why? I mean, they did a few Anthony Weiner jokes along the way. And Bill Clinton↱ still gets play. Maybe Bush is relevant because of his historical role; maybe there are aspects of his presidency that are still in play. And, in truth, I'm not finding much in George W Bush↱ search coming from more recent seasons. But the guy was a pretty awful president; the country is still suffering his mistakes; he's still relevant in a way that Al Gore's Senate hearings on heavy metal just aren't.
After Backward Baby Bush left office, psychiatrists came out of the woodwork to let us know that he had what is known as "presenile dementia." Just plumb YouTube for his speeches and interviews as Governor of Texas. He was quick, clever and smart, not the bozo who several years later couldn't remember the nursery rhyme, "Fool me once... shame on... shame on... me ... Fool me twice... shame on... shame on... Won't get fooled again!" Ever since the Kennedy assassination, every presidential candidate has very carefully chosen a running mate who was pleasant and affable, but whom no one would ever want to see in the White House. This is a deterrent to assassination... the presidency of the USA is the most dangerous job on earth: 10% of the people who have held the office have been assassinated. So even the people who realized that Bush was an actual idiot were reluctant to impeach him or simply call for his removal on medical grounds. There was a two-word phrase that struck fear into the heart of every American: "President Cheney." We wised up to that issue in 2008 by not electing McCain, who even we liberals agreed would have been a damn good President, even if he was white. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! But he was an old man with lots of health problems stemming from his mistreatment in that Viet Cong P.O.W. camp. He might very well have conked out from the pressure of the Oval Office. And, once again, there was that utterly frightening two-word phrase: "President Palin."
What was so bad about Cheney? He supported gays, abortion and was against no credit/no income housing loans! Seems reasonable to me
Well, as much as the The Alantic may loath him, I'm sure there are other journalist/publications that respected his positions. In politics, there is often two sides to every story.....I respected some of his positions.
