    According to 82 book critics from outside the UK, who gave their opinion on best British novels of all time.
    Non-fiction, plays, short stories or epic poems were not included.
    Middlemarch was voted as the best, followed by the two novels written by Virginia Woolfe, To The Lighthouse and Mrs Dalloway. Great Expectations and Jane Eyre close the Top 5.

    Three Woolfs... and Maugham doesn't even get a look in?
    Three Austens - do they not realize it's the same just-okay novel, over and over? - and no Huxley?
    Sheesh!
