What do I think, I hope for your sake that you are not contacted by a Nigerian Prince asking you for help.

No I never said it has to be accepted by all serious scientists, I said it needs to come from a credible source*, not one whose sole purpose is uncritical promotion of fantastic ideas.

    * credible source means one having a reputation for checking its facts before publishing.

You know,it is related to other thread that I opened today, but on some other forum one person told, that some people claim to prove with physics that they are travelling between universes.I asked him for concrete links,I wonder where these 'proofs' were published and by whom. But all I've got it the link to woman who clams to be from another universe...

They are just wrong or wrong and insane.
The likelihood that this person is correct is about the same likelihood that Big Foot is flying a UFO from Rigel to have tea with the loch ness monster.

No the point is that while the Internet is probably one of the greatest invention of the 20th century, and the vessel for vast amounts of knowledge etc, it is also open to frauds, hoaxters, criminals, arseholes, pseudoscience rubbish, cranks, conspiracy nuts of all kinds including religious ones.
And yes, time travel is certainly not forbidden by the laws of physics and GR, but as yet, we are nowhere near clever enough to achieve it.
And if anyone else has, and claims to be from some other universe [as opposed to some other solar system or galaxy] then we need evidence that stands up to scientific scrutiny.
That does not as yet exist.

It now realize that you are asking real questions and you are really interested in the answer - and in that case I apologize for being so flippant.

    Glad to help.

The Brothers Grimm collected and recorded folk accounts, too.
If you say so, that the following equates to a ringing endorsement of authenticity from him:

[...] Their story caused a sensation, and was subject to much ridicule.

[...] The story is widely regarded as a hoax. The U.S. Navy maintains that no such experiment occurred, and details of the story contradict well-established facts about the Eldridge as well as the known laws of physics.

[...] The folklorist Chris Aubeck investigated the story and found it originated in a science fiction book of the 1950s, ‘A Voice from the Gallery’ by Ralph M. Holland, which had copied the tale from “I’m Scared”, a short story by Jack Finney (1911–1995), from which the Fentz tale originated.

Though this one lacks a detracting comment, it's unnecessary, due to the Uri Geller brand of profiteering slash sinks its own boat inanity: [...] Meier was taken back in time by the extraterrestrial Asket where he met personally with Jmmanuel, alleged to be the real Jesus...

But in addition to the "Amazing Video" and technobabillage like "...altered by such a trans-dimensional shift...", the contributor seems to believe in items like planet Nibiru. So you're probably right that vouching for their credibility was still a roundabout intention.

Well at least you are now asking for evidence of these fantastic claims - and not getting it, I notice. That should tell you something.

Even more unfortunately Alexander, is the fact that these forums are open to all, including cranks, ratbags and such, and we get more than our fair share of them due to the more open nature of this forum.
As much as I would find evidence of time travel totally awesome [and it is allowed by GR] and as much as I would dearly like to be still having my arse pointing towards the ground when we finally get evidence for ETL, [and I believe it exists at all stages throughout the universe] at this stage of our history, both are not quite evident.
If people have been short with you, it's because we do have members that claim all sorts of nonsense as based in fact on this forum. eg: Bigfoot, Aliens conducting medical experiments, ghosts, goblins, giants, conspiracy pushers, and those that are suffering from inflated egos and delusions of grandeur, each claiming to have superior knowledge that over rides present accepted mainstream science.
Why do we get them here? Because forums such as this are in reality, the only outlet they have to support in their delusional minds, what they see to be true.
Science is not really a hard task master...All it requires is observational and/or experimental evidence to support a claim.

    Hello exchemist,
First, thank You that You are not talking to me as I am troll right now.Yes,I asked for evidence.Even if he will say that he saw it in scientific sources it will not count for me as evidence. What will count is if provides actual links to such sources

    Yes, that's the spirit!

I did write you off as a troll earlier, because you seemed to be making post after post from unreliable sources, in spite of the responses you got about the lack of evidence. I am now not sure what you are, but so long as you are not silly I am quite happy to correspond with you.

But now I see you have started yet another thread, with yet more unreliable nonsense, from yet another source of the type I have told you is worthless, that is, a website that makes its living from promoting fantastic stories. So you do not seem to be learning very fast, do you?

The needle on my trollmeter is starting to swing back towards the amber zone.......

An excellent maxim to apply in this, and similar circumstances was popularized by Carl Sagan.

    "Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence."

Time travel is an extraordinary claim. The evidence for it will have to be likewise extraordinary - namely, repeatable, falsifiable and demonstrable in front of an independent, public body of scientists.
