In point of fact MR has stated, effectively, that "He just knows that X was a ghost" in other threads:

How do I know it were ghosts?

2) If you're referring to the subsequent 3 sentences then you should have noted that they're LINKS and clicking on them will take you directly to the post where MR wrote those words.
