I was wondering what you think about this article http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/art...dy-slams-nasty-comments-knocks-two-teeth.html I looked it over and some say the video was sped up when he slams her into the ground. Also it's noted he claimed she kicked him in the groin causing his reaction. Not sure what to make of it here, sure I believe the girl hurt him but was his force necessary? What do you all think.
Since I wasn't there to see and hear everything that went on during this confrontation I can't really say whether or not he used "excessive" force or not.
When you consider the fact that it was a handcuffed eighteen year old girl who weighed all of 110 pounds versus a muscular 210 pound man who was not handcuffed, yes, it was excessive. Slapping her would have been excessive. This officer should lose his job - he clearly has anger issues that ought to exclude him from law enforcement jobs.
Any use of force when the immediate threat of loss of life is not present is an excessive amount of force - the only exception is when a suspect (with or without custody) is in some way evading arrest.
Let us all render a judgement based on our ignorance, and then, try an pretend that it ain't bigotry.
