Good and evil is connected to human subjectivity, and can have an impact on the neutral logic of the universe at least on a small scale. Knowledge of good and evil is learned and is not innate. It is connected to free will and choice allowing humans to expand nature in both good and evil directions. Good and evil splits the neutral beam of nature, so a specific type of hologram can be generated.

Law and knowledge of good and evil is a unique type of binary data. To know a law of good and evil, you need to know both the good and the evil sides of the law, so you can avoid all the bad and go all the good. Most people try to do good by the law. Since the law memory is a binary, the bad side of law data still exists in memory and is unconscious. This conscious/unconscious binary law is the beam splitter for a hologram.

The wild card is the impact of the unconscious mind on the consolidated evil side of the law binary. It can alter the angle which the second beam attaches to objects. The hologram can make evil appear good such as when a dictator is trying to form peace by purging. The ends justifying the means would be an example of evil impulse shifting the hologram so this can be rationalized as good.

This law hologram can impact nature which is neutral. This is connected to projection, where what is inside; hologram, is superimposed onto nature, which has no hologram since neutral lacks a beam splitter. Since we see the composite or nature and hologram, we assume a hologram is part of nature. It is only when the hologram is gone do we see reality.

The hologram begins inside the observer and shines like a 3-D movie onto reality. All the warring going on in the world, is due to a law hologram and the projection of evil, onto the other guy ,until it overshadows the reality of the other guy. Religion will call this hologram original sin, which was connected to eating/learning the binaries of law of good and evil. The ancients personified the holographic projection into Satan, but now we call the composite the hologram of the universe.

    @ wellwisher,

I had a lenghty response, but lost it through a glitch. So I'll make this short.

Even if the universe is a hologram, it has no sense of morals. Mathematical constructs are "neutral" by definition. The universe does not cheat, it cannot cheat. It must follow the laws of nature. If there is a hologram it would be a "result" of the natural functions, not the other way around. But now you want to add sentience and the collective of thoughts from all sentient organisms.

I tried to visualize a hologram consisting of all the thoughts of all living things in the universe. It cannot be done mentally, and it cannot be done in reality.

However, just as ants and bees have a hive mind, so does humanity have a hive mind, but it is in no way connected to the spin of an elementary particle or gravity. Thus while humanity and other living organisms may suffer hardships from evil deeds, it has absolutely no effect on the functions of the universe.

This is why Physics only identifies "events", not the moral implications of those events.

Consider: A super nova is the total destruction of a star, by all human accounts that would seem to be an evil event.

But from that nova our solar system was born including the earth which is host to untold variety of living organisms, by all human accounts a good event.

From the death of a star millions of light years away, came life in an obscure little corner of our galaxy. Good? Bad? Bad luck for that star, good luck for us. What is the moral implication in this sequence of events? However, more than 90% of all species that ever existed are now extinct, from a variety of causalities. Good? Bad? Evolution and Natural selection?

The reality is that there is only change, which is an implaccable function without any moral consideration or even implication.

IMO, the universe has no ability to make moral value judgements. Thus in physics good and evil are no more than the interaction of opposing forces which are resolved mathematically by the inherent potentials of those opposing forces.

You are still clinging to a notion that the universe and it's universal constants (fundamental functions) are emotionally connected to human and animal emotional experiences.

As I suggested, if you define the actions which humans call good or evil in context of mathematics, you just end up with a mathematical equation which is then executed by natural forces. At no time does the universe (even a holographic universe) have a moral standard that can be identified. Even if it did, there is nothing the Universe could do about it; the universe is "bound" to follow natural law.

Example: I build an atom bomb and explode it killing thousands of people. An evil deed by anyone's standard. To the universe it is merely an event in accordance with the law of E = Mc^2. The death of those thousands only has an indirect effect, such as economic hardship, interruption of trade and travel and long term human and animal suffering from radiation.
I chose this example to demonstrate how it works in reality. We have observed the event (3 times) and we know the results. The universe was not affected in any way, the people were!

To the universe an atomic bomb is barely a blip in the fabric of spacetime. The universe employs forces which are immeasurably larger than any action an individual or even a group of people could muster.

Consider that a square centimeter of "empty" space contains more potential energy than the entire universe.

Questions: By your analogy a super nova would be an evil event? But then, from these destructive events the solar system and earth (which is host to untold numbers of living organisms) was born. And that is a good thing, no? So who judges these mathematical functions.

You may argue that due to the overall connectedness of spacetime (the wholeness) any event is "felt" by the rest of the universe. But that is not a motivated"consciousness. It would at best be a ripple in the fabric of local space.

Hmmm, it did post. oh well, I think it is sufficiently different to leave it, unless a moderator feels it is redundant.

The holographic principle is a property of string theories and a supposed property of quantum gravity that states that the description of a volume of space can be thought of as encoded on a boundary to the region preferably a light-like boundary like a gravitational horizon. First proposed by Gerard 't Hooft, it was given a precise string-theory interpretation by Leonard Susskind[1] who combined his ideas with previous ones of 't Hooft and Charles Thorn.[1][2] As pointed out by Raphael Bousso,[3] Thorn observed in 1978 that string theory admits a lower-dimensional description in which gravity emerges from it in what would now be called a holographic way.

In a larger sense, the theory suggests that the entire universe can be seen as a two-dimensional information structure "painted" on the cosmological horizon, such that the three dimensions we observe are an effective description only at macroscopic scales and at low energies. Cosmological holography has not been made mathematically precise, partly because the cosmological horizon has a finite area and grows with time.[4][5]

Reality is described on a boundary of space. Reality is seen as real (a two-dimensional information structure "painted" on the cosmological horizon). This is reality. Absolutely astonishing.

Reality is self-distributed. This relates to the hologram.

As I was reading CC's response about the origin and belief in a dualistic immortal soul above I was once again thrusted into an non-contingent world of happiness with no 'I'.

I disagree. Our minds create a hologram inside our skull, but it cannot project this hologram unto the universal hologram.
Consider a star gone nova some few million years ago. We see this nova in the hologram of our minds, but the event has long passed and our subjective mental hologram cannot project that nova back into existence.

In any case, mass hysteria (or celebration) is not caused by a holographic image. It is a function of our mirror neural network and is causal to a kind of mirror mimicry response.

My apologies. I was less than specific in my description. I still had an 'I' in the head but I became very happy compared to normal as though it were totally gone.
