I am looking for book or books in the following arena...

Just as humans come in Blind but most people see things...you can have interesting stories about that issue. Same way, long ago people were pushed in to Jocks...now it is going to Nerds...type stories.

What I am looking for stories that discusses humans in say a million years in advance that have five or more senses that are highly capable including superior intelligence coupled with it...

Say...visually then, people can see beyond light to almost gamma rays....that is very high in EM spectrum...same way in other senses like hearing etc....from 5 cycles to 500,000 cycles...something like that...

So, what kind of stories are there during that time...just thinking a little ahead...Thank you...

We have superior intelligence as compared to 1000 years ago but look at what it has brought humanity. True there are advancements but they have come at a cost that we will never repay. So with all of the intelligence we have today we can't even have peace nor can we stop polluting everything. Then poverty around the world with over 60% not having potable water to drink. So you see there are always drawbacks to "superior" intelligence for what he4lps on class of people destroys others.

I agree....except...I did the best I could for China after Nixon than before Nixon...most of them are somewhat happy. On the other hand, I tried to do the same for India and it did not go very well...We are still trying...

So, a million years...it can provide us better senses and intelligence. Without senses, it would be hard to understand the very nature of existence...I think. And I am sure there are books on those aspect on senses and intelligence...not the solution itself...

So, what is it I must learn in new arenas? Did the China, what else without messing with Free Will...(Dumb people can not be helped)...I know cosmictraveler...your sixth sense.....

So, let us try it...again...and thank you.

There will be certain areas that far greater intelligence will be the norm in the future but those without it will despise those that are gifted and perhaps try to kill them.

Sometimes it is much better to have common sense rather than superior intelligence so that trait will hopefully be brought along with it.

As long as free education is given those wanting to gain better knowledge will do so if they wish but not be told they must for that would not give them a choice. As long as everyone can be treated equally it would be better to have higher intelligence as long as those with it don't misuse it but help bring those without it up to a better understanding. There will always be those who will never be a part of the community and they should be left to their own doings as long as they don't bother others.

    Cosmictraveler…I thank you again…Like to know a kindred spirit…after all these years…

I am going to say a few items that may explain a lot to people who do not know…

I agree with “future but those without it will despise those that are gifted and perhaps try to kill them.” And it happened a lot in the western world. I did not have these issues when I was in China.

Funny part is, Judaism knew about Life eternal and did not do anything to promote it (e la Rabbi Manis Friedman) . That is the reason we have such a mess….case in point about the second comment (Mr. Jena) in the following article: http://www.mnn.com/earth-matters/space/blogs/a-timeline-of-the-distant-disturbing-future

The problem with common sense is…it will take a lot longer for the planet to go to. We have wasted 100,000 years and still at it…

In my case knowing the rebirth…I have an opportunity to move forward…just wanted to know if I can bring back some items when I come back….just exploring like people before me…

If you want to discuss the future after reading the article...we can in Eastern Philosophy or here...your choice...

Simply because, we can not use advanced knowledge which actually came from 100,000 years ago...because people will kill the people who advance them...thank you. I can explain further...if you want...but that is where we are...

But we now are passed that and creating new science with things like the LHC to find out what can be found in the atomic realm. That's very advanced science and few know what those who are using the LHC are actually doing. The people there aren't being harassed they are being extoled by their peers and finding things that now can unify many things that before couldn't be.

And here are the issues...science can only get you somewhere...in the short run...(unless you wait for five to seven billion years) it will take a lot to get to the energy realm in space and time...here are the issues...

Da Vinci was a chief engineer in Vimanas some 100,000 years ago. He had full knowledge but did not not equipment to push for it...Then came Tesla which he was the later incarnation...But can not tell that and hence did not go very far to do stuff...

What that means is that the same people are here...but businesses are not going for it...even if the knowledge is there...Like American Engineers who solved a lot in China but no one in USA cared about it...that is where the problem is...

For example, there are people who supported China to bring it up. The same people are supposed to provide benefit to India and USA...but that did not happen...all about Common Sense and Free Will - a part of Common Sense....thanks.

As to 100,000 years, soon like in 150 to 200 years we will see buildings and library in Antarctica...either use you sixth sense now or wait....

Wow, that seems quite a broad brush statement. Are you sure you don't mean "we have superior knowledge as compared to 1000 years ago"? That can be demonstrated, but I don't see the evidence for superior intelligence. Actually, I think I could make a case for our intelligence being lower today than 1000 years ago, but I wouldn't be serious about it, since it would be unsupported by evidence. So, what did you mean? Just curious.

Inteligence: 1. the ability to acquire and apply knowledge and skills.
    2. the collection of information of military or political value.

If you do not have Knowledge, how can you have Intelligence?...just thinking...

No, I meant we have superior knowledge because of all of those people today who are educated as compared to 1000 years ago where only a few were educated. We also have books which their weren't many back then either. I feel that educated people are far better off than non educated people don't you?

You need education to gain intelligence for someone somewhere must be able to convey the knowledge to others so they can spread it around as well. Learning about anything is a very good thing and the more you learn I feel the more intelligent you can become. That of course is if you can retain those things you have learned.

Now back to the OP...if we get more data from our five senses such as extended visual and audio frequency, better smell like a dog, better basic vision, better taste more than a taste tester...etc. What can we do and would our life becomes better...etc...

I don't think that last point was in contention, was it? I just thought your claim that people today were more intelligent was - I don't know how else to say this - wrong, or at the very least unsupported by evidence. I am glad you agree.

It takes a lot of brain to process sensory information, doesn't it? If you are adding all these inputs you would need a larger brain, surely? We already seem to be at the limit of brain size from at least three constraints: the width of the birth canal; temperature control; resource demands.

You are correct...Now, I assume, we have it...then what do you do with them from now to one you see can do that? I am still pushing it...thank you...I have seen someone who has it...I will talk about it after we get some data from you guys...

But we have already built devices that will enhance most of those things such as binoculars for seeing better, mechanical sniffer devices that can determine what many smells are and let us know what they are like in a room with carbon monoxide in it, then you have devices that will allow you to hear from a far distance what is being said like amplifiers for hears and talking. So why should we need to try and enhance our biological senses when we can build things to do that for us today?
