so over 2000 snow geese all die and fall from the sky at more or less the same time due to some sort of infectious disease that they probably got whilst flying?? eeek!
    Billy T shame on you!...

It reeks of oxygen deprivation as that is about the only thing that could cause such a tragedy...

Also, at 32000 feet 23+ billion tons of oxygen is more by volume (not weight) than 23billion tons at sea level...by many orders....

Right. And birds never deal with changes in oxygen partial pressures, so they must be completely unequipped to deal with it.

So how high do the geese fly?

Did they just fly into a hypoxic black hole or somethin'?
Like a school of fish swimming into one of those 400+ oceanic hypoxic dead zones so far discovered.

They can hit ~30,000 feet but generally fly around 10,000 feet.
Nope. Avian cholera is the likely cause.

and they all die and fall out of the sky at the same time?

No, it probably happened over a few hours or days. Avian cholera is extremely infectious; in 2012 in Oregon it killed about 10,000 birds, and the birds would go from apparently healthy to dead within a few hours - often dying mid-flight.

    How can you believe this:
when the birds regularly fly between 10,000 and 30,000 feet?

Sorry I was being ironic. They are, of course, uniquely equipped to handle changes in ppO2.

I guess we shall have to wait for the autopsy outcomes. So far it appears they are considering disease at the moment only because "they all fell out of the sky". (died in flight)
Maybe after which they can sort out the causation of all the other inexplicable mass die off events waiting to be resolved... "shrimp, sardines, dolphins, whales, sea lions, turtles, fish, etc"

Right - because that's pretty common for geese with avian cholera.

    Birds falling.
Sudden drop in air pressure? Or temperature?
One bird falling out of the sky could be due to death or exhaustion, but not many together.

    PEOPLE!!
The term "falling out of the sky" is Not a Fact in this case. No one saw birds falling from the sky, that quote comes from one person, Gregg Losinski:

“Basically, they just fell out of the sky,” said Losinski.

Reuters is the source of above quote:
    http://www.reuters.com/article/2015/03/17/us-usa-idaho-dead-geese-idUSKBN0MD09620150317

Here is another example of 'artistic license' relating to avian cholera:

“Sometimes I have seen birds literally fall out of the sky,” biologist Dave Mauser told EarthFix. “It happens that quickly.”

    http://usnews.nbcnews.com/_news/201...pping-from-the-sky-of-avian-cholera-in-oregon

This next one has video and interview. Notice 'out of sky' is quoted and note this:

...avian cholera spreads so quickly in infected birds that some with no previous signs of illness can die while in flight and fall out of the sky.

...They spend a week or two and make short flights to feed on waste grain in nearby wheat fields before continuing north.

    http://www.usatoday.com/story/news/nation/2015/03/17/snow-geese-dead-idaho/24898081/

Here is a different and more reasonable take on the incident:

~~ About 2,000 migrating snow geese were found dead in northern Idaho over the weekend, said state wildlife officials who said Monday that avian cholera was suspected.~~

    http://www.nbcnews.com/news/us-news...ed-after-2-000-geese-found-dead-idaho-n324721

They were sick birds no doubt. Avian cholera is bad. Some may have begun to convulse in flight and crashed/died. But get the image of - several V's of migrating birds suddenly dieing in mid-flight spiraling down to the ground in a path across miles - out of your heads. It isnt what they found. The birds are in their normal stop-over habitat, shorelines and open fields.

What about a sudden increase in blood pressure and temperature?

I disbelieve the official story. I believe those pushing the official story are driven by a hostile, self serving, political agenda which, in order to be sustained, demands deception at all levels.

As are many of the people pushing the denial agenda.
    I don't trust any politicians.
