That my thread has been closed etc (Modern physics has brought us nothing) is a bit strange.

BUT, it is to be predicted because people here of course don't want to have their worldview
    challenged.

I really, really stand behind what I wrote! 'Modern physics" brought us really nothing, no,
not ONE of the things mentioned.

I also think it is a bit cowardly, stupid and arrogant to close a thread because people BELIEVE it not to be true.

It is a commen reaction to conflicting information (cognitive dissonance)

However, it is of course also a way of censoring people, so we have now also established that

this forum is about censoring dissident views, and ridiculing people who think differently then the extremely stupid way 'modern physics' 'thinks'. Most physicist can't think straight anymore.

    No kidding.

No see how integer and honest the mods here are!

Nobody is censoring dissident views, just moronic ones.

And yet you sit behind a computer.

[edit] Oh, I see from your other thread that you simply refuse to accept that it was science (physics) that has brought us our fantastic technology. Well...good luck remaining ignorant.

What's the challenge? You haven't made any arguments yet.

Not strange at all. It was deliberate trolling junk, and lasted longer than it should have.
You certainly have a bloody chip on your shoulder, havn't you?

I think perhaps the laser is one of the best examples of a piece of technology that relies entirely on quantum physics (stimulated emission) for its invention and has become a ubiquitous part of all our lives now. It was that village idiot Einstein whose discoveries in quantum theory gave rise to it. I quote Wiki:-

"In 1917, Albert Einstein established the theoretical foundations for the laser and the maser in the paper Zur Quantentheorie der Strahlung (On the Quantum Theory of Radiation) via a re-derivation of Max Planck's law of radiation, conceptually based upon probability coefficients (Einstein coefficients) for the absorption, spontaneous emission, and stimulated emission of electromagnetic radiation. In 1928, Rudolf W. Ladenburg confirmed the existence of the phenomena of stimulated emission and negative absorption.[11] In 1939, Valentin A. Fabrikant predicted the use of stimulated emission to amplify "short" waves.[12] In 1947, Willis E. Lamb and R. C. Retherford found apparent stimulated emission in hydrogen spectra and effected the first demonstration of stimulated emission.[11] In 1950, Alfred Kastler(Nobel Prize for Physics 1966) proposed the method of optical pumping, experimentally confirmed, two years later, by Brossel, Kastler, and Winter.[13]"

But of course there are hundreds of examples of technology that rely on QM or relativity, including, as someone previously pointed out, nuclear power.
And leaving technology aside, the whole of modern chemistry depends on quantum theory.

It was of course for his contribution to QM that Einstein got his Nobel prize (photo-electric effect), in 1921.

If that's true, then I wonder how you think we came up with all of this amazing technology. And is it just a coincidence that much of it was invented by physicists, during a a time of a revolution in physics?

Thread moved to Conspiracies... though even that is being generous given that it is blathering nonsense.

    You misunderstand.

Your thread was not closed because it was challenging or bucking the system with brilliance.

It was closed because it was so stupid and was tantamount to a troll post.

If you wish to continue posting here, then you need to stop trolling and posting like a gormless idiot.

The mods are integers? Would that make you an irrational number?
