We have Adams and Eves in Puranas but not in Vedas. In RigVeda there are two stories.

    1. Aditi, the God Mother, begot eight suns (Adityas) of whom one, Martanda (lit. dead egg -Mrit + Anda) was born unformed. Out of Martanda, the humans were created who would be born and die.
    2. Sages sacrificed Purusha*, and from the various parts of his body, various things were born. The Brahmins from the head, the Warriors (Kshatriyas) from the arms, the Agriculturists/Herders/Traders (Vaishyas) from the thighs, and workers (Shudras) from the feet.

    * Purusha (Lit.-man) is described like this: "This Puruṣa is all that yet hath been and all that is to be."

The first story is one of the oldest, probably 6,000 BC. The second story might date between 1,500-1,000 BC. It is in the latest book.

more than 6000 B.C. as India is far older than Summer.
Lord Maculay created many lie about India, the lie of caste system was carried to extreme. i am reliable, as i am one of those 'low caste' person, who knows truth.
Indian system was not different than feudal system.
the names of all the castes are derived from Ghotras. few real vedas remain and almost all used by common people are adultrated.
