Laws don't have to be written or even spoken.

Clearly they "understood survival" well enough to "know" that they were better off in a group than alone. The voluntary subordination of individual interests to group interests is the beginning of society.

    Please peruse again.

Dogs, cats and other carnivores would have plenty of prey.

    Cats might do OK.
But I've never seen a pack of house cats attacking people.
Dogs would scavenge, and then when the food ran out they'd die.

Keeping your own zoo would be nice.
Keep any animal that can survive on tinned dogfood.

Wild dogs in Africa. No man can survive this type of attack. There are wild dogs in India also, the Dholes, though they belong to a different genus. Even tigers run away when they encounter a pack of dholes. That is society.

Each family/tribal group would have its own social structure and those that interacted would have "rules" for interaction.

That would take allot of time, to round up those of your kind then get them to follow you. So while they were trying to find each other how did they survive alone?

Well I wouldn't be out in that environment without a weapon just in case something like this were to happen. While I'd agree with you about not being able to survive an attack if you weren't armed how then do the bush people and tribes deal with them?

There is no "alone". Children are brought up by their parents. The extended family lives in a group. Where did you get the idea that everybody emerges alone from under a cabbage leaf?

Well when the first human like being first appeared do you think that they had more of the same instantly and where they were at?

I'd think that there were very few that evolved at the same time and same place so what would they be looking for if they were the first of their kind on Earth?

If you are the only one in the world, then environment is bound to come to you. How long can you have a modern weapon? What what they avail you in face of a dog, hyena or wolf pack?

All dogs would be looking for a master.
As the only human, you would be protected by packs of dogs,
    not killed by them.

What does electric power, have to do, with human life on Earth. If the last human were an Amazonian tribal member, these people have no need or use for electricity in the first place. TV is interesting, but only exist for the gain of sponsors, not scientific reality.

They evolved from their parents. They still had siblings, cousins, aunts, uncles. etc.

Evolution isn't BANG! suddenly there's a new species. It happens one generation at a time. There can't BE evolution without a sizeable population.

    you said ....

"All dogs would be looking for a master.
As the only human, you would be protected by packs of dogs,
    not killed by them."

This is why I said that. There were no dogs when the first humans evolved but only wolves which were domesticated eventually but that took thousands of years.

But if you are talking about if you were the last person on earth you might be able to have a pack of dogs but don't run out of food because they could turn on you.
