That's why businesses spend millions on candidates so that they get to have fat government contracts and business perks . The candidates , most of the time, spend any of their own money unless they are super wealthy. This is why the common people always get the short end of the stick.

So 'they' spend millions to make me believe elections don't matter because elections do matter? Isn't more likely they have millions to spend so they lavish it out to their cronies in the advertising industry?

In my book, a "First" has to be successful to count.

Just because you're misinterpreting the message doesn't mean it is different from what it actually is.
Lol, really? With logic like that, is there any event anywhere or any time in history that isn't a conspiracy?

I'm certainly going to misinterpret this message. I have no idea what you are trying to say.
Yes really. I don't know what logic has to do with it; it's facts. Read your Machiavelli, read Chomsky, read your daily frikkin' paper! You want to label everything the rich and powerful have done and are doing to keep the white (and black) man down as a conspiracy in order to go on fooling no one but yourself, well, that's not helpful.

While I'm not sure who Spidergoat meant by 'they' I choose to think he means the people in charge (our -haha- elected representatives). How do we distinguish these one percenters from the ones who bring us major league sports, soap operas, corn chips, soda pop, prescription drugs and beer? It's all bread and circuses.

They (the 99%) say the CIA introduced crack cocaine, but what the CIA never gets credit for is malt liquor.

Hi latecurtis. Anything can be possible with nanotechnology. It's true that government and scientists have the latest technology which can do anything or they are trying to acquire those technologies.
