Carl Jung developed this same idea, in his theory called personality types. The four states are intellect, emotion, intuition and sensation. These are four ways which humans orientate themselves to reality. The scientist will try to use his/her intellect by applying math. The mother with her children will make use of emotions and emotional feedback to determine the needs of her children. The sculpture may use their intuition to see the final statue even while it is still only a large block of stone. Sensation is connected to our sensory systems; live in the now, without past or present. From Jungs observations as a scientist, he noted that humans use all these functions but not all the same amount. People tend to specialize in one or two of these. A good scientist uses intellect and sensation to collect data with his eyes and ears before analysis. The Epicurean, who loves pleasure makes use of emotions and sensations, etc. Jung describes these four functions and all the various combinations from which human diversity appears. There are 16 combinations. It may be worth reading how Jung developed his theory. Based on personality types I would be an intellect, intuitive followed by sensation and emotion. I am good at logical analysis and with my intuition following as second, I sense nuance all the time making me good at development work. My emotions are last. These are the most unconscious and tend to sweep me up in unconscious process at times. This often gets me in trouble when I write in forums while this is active. It is part of the ebb and flow of balance with my development nature of intellect-intuition requiring I go with the flow since all rocks need to be turned over to find bugs.

Re, this Election cycle I find it Very Frustrating as a believer, to be taught about Jesus and the Love he shares, to aspire to be the Man that Jesus was, to be the Person that God wants me to be, to be 'Christ'-like, to be Christian, i have been taught the Value of individuals, to seek out understanding, to not rely on my own understanding, to form Relationships, to Accept ppl as they are, to Listen to others, to understand their Struggle, so that i can use my Struggles to help them with their Struggles, This Season is ridiculous in my opinion, as a Believer i am supposed to set an example of how to behave, our leaders are teaching us it is OK to be immoral, to lie cheat and steal to 'win at any cost', but that has been the Morality of our Nation, We accept bad behaviour from our leaders, yet do not accept bad behaviour from others, This is What is 'wrong' with America, As i have said, i am Believer, and i am disgusted, with the way Religion as a whole, and the Politicians that are supposed to Represent that 'Christianity' are teaching ppl to focus on how they feel and not to focus on Reason, Fear is not Reason, it is EMOTION, and should not be how we make our decisions, We have fallen into the trap, the corruption that exists, is the focus on how we Feel to the exclusion of Reason, Jesus Teaches us to accept our sins, not to ignore them, not to Shame all those who make us feel bad, not to shame those who disagree with us, You CANNOT create Unity by Kicking every one out of the club who does not Agree with you. this is WRONG on so many Levels, The Church cries 'Come together in Christ', yet they tell ppl who do not agree with their 'Doctrine', if you do not believe as we believe, go start you own Church, Can you see the Subtle? thousands of denominations, thousands of ppl, The strength of Christ does not Live in the person who protects your feeling above Reason, a True Person of Christ, would do what Jesus did, and Challenge you to accept and learn from your sins, not Stroke your Feelings, YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR HOW YOU FEEL! How You Feel is directly related to what you think, and NO ONE can control what you think. Who are you listening to? Are you giving up your authority to someone who does not deserve it? Who just makes you 'feel' good about yourself? All Feel, Most Believe, Some Think, Few Know, this is a process, do not get stuck on how you feel.
