Judging from how the chair moves, the "fishing line" would have to run all the way back thru the other chairs towards the camera. I'm not seeing any line there in that well-lighted space at all.

I don't either, but that would be the whole point, wouldn't it. The video quality is so low they could probably have done it with yarn.

Until there is some pretty good evidence that it was indeed a ghost you will have to seriously consider hoaxing or some 'unexplained' natural phenomenon.

What the heck are you talking about? I have no idea whether ghost investigation teams come there or what they charge. The people who do come to theaters and hotels are CUSTOMERS. And customers who like ghosts often patronize haunted places. Thus, a proprietor can make more money by claiming "ghosts!" See the post above.

    As always, follow the money.

I guess Roy Roberts acquired another Halloween-ish anecdote to relate to his audiences during those "in-between" moments on stage. Wonder if they often or routinely have paranormal performers at that theatre. If they do, then "having strange things happen over the years" provides a good supplement to Brookside's conventional advertising.

Are the time stamps of the two posts above messed up?

Aw oh, now you've done it. Counting the minutes till some lurker starts a topic about "synchronicity" in another Fringe forum...

People like to patronize haunted theaters? I've never heard that. Usually people patronize theaters based on the show they are performing there. I've certainly never checked a theater for it being haunted before I go see a show there.

    lol
It's just that billvon said "see post above" and then your post appeared. It appears to make more sense that he meant your post.

I don't think not seeing a string counts as evidence for there being a string.

However, you did give them publicity by posting about it here.

There you go again... But right back at you: I don't think not seeing a ghost counts as evidence for there being a ghost.

I posted this response in the other thread.

    Here are my questions:

Why would a ghost move a chair?

    Cant ghosts move through walls?

Why is the CC camera on in a dark, closed theatre. Could you even make a proper ID IF something nefarious were to transpire? Does not look like it to me at all.

    Why are there ghosts?

    What is a ghost?

Is a ghost some entity that like spying on humans? Doesn't seem fair to me or logical.

I think his theater attendance, and thus his revenue, will depend more on the shows he has there than on moving chairs. I certainly wouldn't go see a show just to watch for unexplained chair movement.

But it will on the amount of publicity they get.

Unless ghosts, unlike strings, can be totally invisible. Then we'd go by objects moving by themselves. Hence the video..

But you almost certainly would never even have heard of this theater without that video. Like they say, there's no such thing as bad publicity.

Maybe they do have a totally invisible string. Do you know?
I mean, if invisible ghosts are possible why not invisible strings.. hm?

Oh well. Such are the perks of being a haunted location.

Or a supposedly haunted location. You see the problem, don't you?
