He said total number of photons, so 1,000 photons is more than 500 photons, so the 1,000 photon pic is brighter, according to his words.

Do you know why he bailed, Trippy? Was I being mean to him, or do you think he figured out I was correct?

I thought it was self explanatory.

Nope, I still can't figure out what you were trying to say.

What's up with the shrug? Not sure if you misread my post or not?

I know I misread your post, hence the shrug.

Then it's more clear to say, "I misread your post." The shrug makes it seem as though you have some doubt or wondering about your own statement of misreading my post.

What did you mean when you added the shrug?

I have no idea what are you talking about or what point you are trying to make. I bailed because your responses appeared insane to me. If you are sober now perhaps you can state clearly what is it we are arguing about and why.

Yes, more photons - more brightness, naturally. What does that have to do with anything?

So you're ready to answer the questions put forth to you now?

Trippy, Are you gonna answer my question about why you posted that shrug?

Possibly this part of the discussion started when you said that in the real universe there can't be an infinite number of positions of a point on a the surface of sphere that rotates on it axis, but that is far back in the thread, and my memory might not have captured it correctly .

There you go again, sucking people's blood. What is the damn question, just say it already.

The great thing about the internet is that people have to communicate via typed words, that stay in the thread if nobody deletes them. That way, when you are asked again and again and again to answer the questions, the questions don't have to keep getting typed over and over and over.

    I like that!

It means the work load is on you. You have to actually read and quote and respond. See how that works? Bailing on a thread because you don't like the questions doesn't mean that you get to come back after a little while and rejoin the thread without answering the questions. So start answering. All of them that you haven't answered in this thread. All of them.

I take it then there is nothing more you want to talk about. Glad we settled it, whatever it was. Bye.

I want to talk about your answers to my questions, but you keep avoiding them and bailing. Bye!

Is there anyone still watching this?

It's been a while and I'm still obsessing.

I need to ask: What makes people think that there is a finite number of ways that matter can be arranged in any finite space?
Is there room for doubt in this theory?

You realize that you are obsessing about this. You should also realize there is nothing anyone can say that will answer your question to your satisfaction. It is like giving a person with OCD reasons they do not need to wash their hands so much. This forum is just another outlet that allows you to talk about your obsession. This is all OK, but the important thing is to stay in therapy. By the way if you do not like the results of your therapy then change therapist.

    Good luck.
