I don't know for I saw the trailer for Transcendence and it looked great but the actual movie that I saw was a flop even with Depp in it. Many times the movie makers will show only the best part or most exciting parts of their movies in trailers to bring you into the theater where, in many instances, you are very disappointed. I can only hope this movie is as good as the trailer but I'll hold my breath until I hear from those who actually see it and review it somewhere.

The whole premis of the movie is idiotic. Where did the 10% myth even come from in the first place?

Saw the movie. Keep an open mind, it is after all, entertainment.

Luc Besson has created another excellent character...Nikita, Leon, Leeloo...and now, Lucy.

Like I said...got to love Luc!

I like a lot of stupid movies, but why can't they do some research?

Probably because they make science fiction movies and therefore anything goes.

I cannot like it. I love science fiction but I've about had my fill of the careless stupidity. In (outer) space no 1 can hear you scream but you can hear an explosion from across the void. Going back in time & making something that happened not happen. Fully grown clones in hardly any time who always look exactly like the donor & often have the memories of the donor. After Dolly was cloned, someone told me of their fear that the President would be secretly replaced by a clone. I had to explain that by the time the clone grew to be X age, the President would be 2X age & the clone might not be the same height or body shape & that person would no longer be President. I hope I don't seem to be only nitpicking but I just don't understand why they can't make entertaining science fiction movies without such crap. Rather than the 10% nonsense, they could have claimed to have found some previously unknown part of the brain.

...so Numerals can hear in (inner) space?
...or Odd Numerals don't have Ears?
...could any 8's or 73's or 934's hear you scream, in (outer) space, or anywhere for that matter?

Personally, I find it rather nonsensical to review a movie without even viewing it first.
Heck, SIASLa, you may come to find out that the movie is about...some previously unknown part of the...

I find it quite nonsensical to assume I haven't seen the movie or to refer to my couple of focused comments on it as a review.

SIASLa, 1.) - You never stated that you had seen the movie. You began your Post #10 with :
Referring to your Post #10, if you had seen it, then you may have started that Post with : "I did not like it."
2.) - If you had seen the movie, you would know the actual varying "plot lines" and why "Lucy" was "unique".
3.) - If you have indeed seen the movie, then your 'focused comments on it' would seem to indicate that you did not 'focus' full attention on the movie while viewing it.
4.) - Please answer this question honestly, SIASLa, had you actually seen the movie, in it's entirety, prior to Posting your Post #10?

SIASLa, like I stated in my Post #5, keep an open mind, it is after all, entertainment.

BTW, have you ever viewed any 'entertaining science fiction'(or fantasy!) 'movies without such crap', in your own subjective opinion?

You are trying to make a mountain out of an anthill, at best.

Par for the course in actual fact.
And everything including meanings, translations, interpretations and understanding get lost in the process. Sad.
