..you had a real supernatural experience? Something undeniable, like say your dead favorite aunt appearing on your sofa one morning and talking to you for 30 minutes. Einstein once said that even if he saw a ghost he wouldn't believe it. Would you be the same way? How would you change your view of reality knowing such was real? Or would you?

I don't believe in supernatural things and the only ones who do are con artists trying to make money for themselves with gullible people they find.

What would you do if you flapped your arms and started flying around and flew to the moon? Would you be the same way? How would you change your view of reality knowing such was real? Or would you?

Or are these 2 scenarios just stupid questions???

I would investigate further until I found out what it was that I experienced. I would pinch her to see if she noticed. If no response from her, then I would pinch myself to see if I respond. Then I would go get a glass of water and dump it on her, to see if she gets wet and shorts out, like some kind of electrical illusion gone bad. If I can't get her to stop talking to me and I get no response from her, then I would go get a mental evaluation to see if my ticking has changed rate.

I would assume I was hallucinating. (Which does happen, and even has a scientific explanation.)

Pinching and throwing water on your beloved aunt? No wonder she doesn't give you the time of day.

Do you often hallucinate dead people talking to you? What's the cause of that?

Beloved Aunt? No, she's my DEAD Aunt, sitting on my sofa talking to me. Drastic times call for drastic measures...

For certain things if you don't believe, you will never know. I've been to Heaven in a dream, and seen God in a dream. If I don't believe this will never blossom into knowledge.

How would I know that it was a real supernatural experience and not just something I don't understand?

Oh good, finally someone that may be able to answer the question, what temperature was it in Heaven when you were there? Was there day and night too?

The only thing I experienced was a clouded plain of divine beauty. I know it was a heavenly state. There was no temperature.

So absolute zero? No heat at all?

I mean, I too think that Heaven is really really cold, since hell is damn hot!! You know, opposites, like good-evil, hot-cold. That deal.

You call your neighbor over and he sees and talks to your aunt as well, ruling out brain malfunctioning. Then she disappears in front of you. Supernatural or not? If it walks like a duck...

Looking and pinching are two different tests. The looking is already established, you see your dead Aunt on the sofa talking to you. So you see her. The looking is sure to you. Is the feeling? Did you pinch her to see if she was real? Did she feel the pinch? Did you feel it when you pinched her? Without a pinch there is no justification to move straight to belief in ghosts.

Why? How do you even know a ghost is pinchable?

Here's some accounts of Abraham Lincoln's ghost being seen in the White House by reputable people:

"Several unnamed eyewitnesses have claimed to have seen the shade of Abraham Lincoln actually lying down on the bed in the Lincoln Bedroom (which was used as a meeting room at the time of his administration), and while others have seen Lincoln sit on the edge of the bed and put his boots on.[9] The most famous eyewitness to the latter was Mary Eben, Eleanor Roosevelt's secretary, who saw Lincoln pulling on his boots (after which she ran screaming from the room).[8][14]

Others have actually seen an apparition of the former president. The first person reported to have actually seen Lincoln's spirit was First Lady Grace Coolidge, who said she saw the ghost of Lincoln standing at a window in the Yellow Oval Room staring out at the Potomac.[9]

Theodore Roosevelt[15] and Maureen Reagan and her husband[16] have all claimed to have seen a spectral Lincoln in the White House. A number of staff members of the Franklin D. Roosevelt administration claimed to have seen Lincoln's spirit,[11] and on one occasion Roosevelt's personal valet ran screaming from the White House claiming he had seen Lincoln's ghost.[10]

Perhaps the most famous incident was in 1942 when Wilhelmina of the Netherlands heard footsteps outside her White House bedroom and answered a knock on the door, only to see Lincoln in frock coat and top hat standing in front of her (she promptly fainted).[17]

British Prime Minister Winston Churchill loved to retire late, take a long, hot bath while drinking a Scotch, and smoke a cigar and relax. On this occasion, he climbed out of the bath and naked, but for his cigar, walked into the adjoining bedroom. He was startled to see Lincoln standing by the fireplace in the room, leaning on the mantle. Churchill, always quick on the uptake, blinked and said "Good evening, Mr. President. You seem to have me at a disadvantage." Lincoln smiled softly and disappeared....

The last sighting of Lincoln's ghost was in the early 1980s, when Tony Savoy, White House operations foreman, came into the White House and saw Lincoln sitting in a chair at the top of some stairs.[17]

Abraham Lincoln is not the only Lincoln ghost witnesses claim to have seen in the White House. Willie Lincoln, Abraham Lincoln's 11-year-old son, died in the White House of typhoid on February 20, 1862.[20]

Willie Lincoln's ghost was first seen in the White House by staff members of the Grant administration in the 1870s, but has appeared as recently as the 1960s (President Lyndon B. Johnson's college-age daughter, Lynda Bird Johnson Robb, saw the ghost and claims to have talked to him)."----http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lincoln's_ghost
