OK. So you can't answer the question. That's what you should work on.

You should work on rephrasing your question so that it's logical. But that would require some understanding of what energy is on your part, I guess...

"How much electrical energy does a charged 24kwhr battery contain" is something a first year physics student can understand and answer. Again, work on that.

    Again with your potential crap.

Potential is not work. Do you not understand that???

Obviously. Joules = Watts x seconds. This has fuck all to do with what we were discussing, however.

Reported for trolling. Nobody is as stupid as this. It is a wind up.

So operating a 100 Watt light bulb from 1 PM -11PM is 1 kw-hr of energy.

How much energy is operating a gallon of gas for 10 hours?

    I bet you are!!

    Describe torque to me?

Of course - and that has nothing to do with what we are talking about We are talking about energy, not work. They are two different things, although they are related.

    Zero.

Right, we aren't talking about potential, but you keep getting confused. Stop it already, K? Learn the difference.

There ya go! All this for that? Really?

Yes, MDT, it was all for that. Now see if you can integrate what you have learned (if anything.)
Yes, we were. Temperature is a measure of heat content - and heat content is potential energy. (The term "energy" encompasses both potential and kinetic.) Again, basic high school physics.

    Laughable!!

Learn what a unit of energy is. Start with a kw-hr. Let me know when you figure it out. Good luck.

Same ol' billvon, reduced to name-calling after his ego gets bruised, due to nobody's fault but his own ignorance of basic physics. 3rd grade physics is challenging for billvon, so he ignored that "simple stuff" and moved on to the really big words where he can use them and not have to explain what they mean. Because, you know, those simple little derivatives are child's play.

    Get a clue!

in reply to sideshowbob, re: your # 19 reply

Well written...and well stated! Kudos to you. (if had a handle/avatar, yours would do nicely...I'm jealous) (also, do you know all the verses of the H.M.S. "Pinafore?")

    (Thanks for reading!)

I disagree. Why does he reply by challenging me to define torque to him, out of the blue?. He just wants to annoy and keep the argument going as long as he can. Motor Daddy does this all over the forum, constantly, introducing a new side-track whenever the argument is in any danger of running out of steam. This is absolutely textbook troll behaviour and it wrecks the credibility of the forum to allow it continue as it is currently doing.

(The only reason I got involving in this thread was I saw a nice opportunity to explain some thermodynamic principles simply, for other readers who might have accidentally stumbled into the morass of deliberate stupidity created by this fuckwit.)

Your ability to insult exceeds your display of torque knowledge. But I kinda figured that.
