Ain't about the speed, DMOE, it's about the ride. Comparing an RX7 against a Corvette is like comparing a red apple to a green one. Same fruit, different orchard.

I am sure that Corvette drivers at Road Atlanta, Laguna Seca, et al, that had no choice but to settle for watching RX7 taillights pull away from them, would enjoy wiping their tears with a handkerchief embroidered with your enlightening Post! BTW, why DMOE in upper case?
I don't understand the hate for Corvettes expressed in this thread. Some Corvettes are ugly, some models are very visually appealing. These days, an early 2000's Z06 would be a great performance car at a relatively bargain price. Why would you hate a car like this?
