Why are some people much stronger and by stronger I mean much healthier and much more physically capable and also much smarter and by smarter I mean much better memory (some people have a photographic memory)?

Take Albert Einstein for example. There is no doubt that Albert Einstein was very intelligent but he was also very capable. Despite his illnesses, Einstein was still strong enough to be continue working extremely hard and to solve complicated physical problems.

I realized that people have vastly differing abilities and some people are just better (by better I mean superior) than others both physically and mentally.

I have no idea why that is though. I thought all people were created equal but apparently we are not so equal at all when it comes to physical abilities.

Genes determine to a large extent the physical capabilities of our bodies. They also affect how our brains are built. Since every human being has a unique combination of genes, every human being has particular strengths and weaknesses.

Genes aren't the only factor, though. For example, it is sometimes said that for somebody to become an expert at anything, about 10000 hours of practice is needed. So, hard work and dedication, plus suitable genes, will make you better than the vast majority of other human beings at a particular type of skill.

Or maybe I'm just a biochemical blob so that could explain why I can't compare to normal people in physical (and mental) ability.

We're all biochemical blobs. In fact, I'm mostly water.

I think I am much more biochemical than other people.

I have been struggling with pain for years. I also have this panic fear of getting injured (by injured I mean getting cut or and burned) and even the slightest injury scares me.

I just don't know what to do anymore.

" Why are some people much stronger and also much smarter than others? "

    genetic structure,
some are built well , and others are not built as well.

We are definitely not all created equal. Everyone is born with different characteristics. We all look different, think differently, and are better or worse at different things. The idea that we are all created equal is supposed to mean that we are all created deserving the same rights as one another, regardless of those different characteristics.

They are now investigating gene manipulation whereby in the near future you could enhance your child's genes to make them everything you want them to be, within reason of course.

Plants, animals or micro organisms that have changed through genetic engineering are termed genetically modified organisms or GMOs. Bacteria were the first organisms to be genetically modified. Plasmid DNA containing new genes can be inserted into the bacterial cell and the bacteria will then express those genes. These genes can code for medicines or enzymes that process food and other substrates. Plants have been modified for insect protection, herbicide resistance, virus resistance, enhanced nutrition, tolerance to environmental pressures and the production of edible vaccines. Most commercialized GMO's are insect resistant and/or herbicide tolerant crop plants.[20] Genetically modified animals have been used for research, model animals and the production of agricultural or pharmaceutical products. They include animals with genes knocked out, increased susceptibility to disease, hormones for extra growth and the ability to express proteins in their milk.

Most are taking the genetic route...

(I still cannot post links or pictures, yet)

Genetics is important, however there are many factors that have to do with pre-conception and growth over time.

    1. Your bloodline plays an important role, but I do not mean just genetics.

    2. There is a whole lot of information about baby and childhood development.

    3. Nutrition

    4. Psycological development/Physical environment

    5. Family Income Status

    6. Cultural Influences

    7. Specific Life Experiences

    8. Self-Determination

Question: Is epigenetics an accepted science on Sciforums?

Except for sports like weight lifting, a good nervous system is essential. Although practice cuts down on control via the conscious mind, the sensory & motor nerves controlled by the brain are critical.

A brain capable of controlling a better than average nervous system, tends to be potentially good at other tasks.

The USA culture tends to deal in stereotypes like the Dumb Jock & the Clumsy Geek. It also tends to make the stereotypes partially valid. A very good athlete is often not required to study & turn in homework.

Large universities disguise the correlation between intelligence & athletic ability. To be one of the top ten in any activity from an enrollment of 25,000 or more requires specializing. In smaller colleges, you often find a few individuals included in both the top ten athletes & the top ten students.

    this all pertains to genetics.
    including 4-8
a feeble mind is also genetic related.

Humans are social animals, with a community of humans similar to a team. A team needs a variety of talents and skills to become optimized, instead of all of one thing. Human genetics/personality firmware distributes a variety of talent thereby allowing teams with better squads.

In baseball, there are nine positions on the field. Although culture may subjectively elevate one or two of these positions, such as the pitcher, the best teams require good people at all positions, to provide support. Without the support of the team, the illusion of one or two elevated position does not work.

Picture a baseball team composed on nothing but 9 MVP level pitchers. They will not be competitive since there is too much concentration of one talent and not enough lateral talent for a complete team. Nature will distribute to make a better human team.

What culture defines as important or dominants is not always objective. In modern times, sports and celebrity make hugs sums of money. This was not always the case. It needed the doting fan skill to be part of the team.

Luck, a lot of luck: born with the right genes in the right place at the right time, etc, etc. In fact some people are born with innate talent but die of starvation or abuse or are never given a chance.

If you look at talents like playing basketball or the violin, some children are good at a very young age, as though innate. If we used the genetic argument, that would mean in the span of a few hundred years, genes evolved so these talents could be innate. Basketball was invented in 1891. This is too fast for genes and allows us to factor out genes, per se, since rapid and directed change contradicts the current assumptions of genetics which is random and slow boat.

These innate skills would better be explained in terms of the core CPU and personality firmware of the brain. These only need a general foundation provided by the DNA. The brain provides the affinity and the drive to be good. The brain is also why talent will disperse, so the social team becomes more than the sum of the parts. The pining about talents, is less about the talents, as it is being the center of the attention instead of being one of the support talents in the subjective hierarchies of culture.

An interesting example was the Roman army. All the soldiers were skilled craftsmen and/or engineers and artisans. They did not need a supply line but could turn any place into a secure home base, with logistics that would last thousands of years. Their brain would see the social needs and would instinctively bring out the needed talent to complete the team. Natural selection would be accepted so the team was a strong as possible.

    again,

this whole comment is all genetic related.
genetics are built in the whom of a female during the process of being born
talents or such, or improving talent,
    is all derived from genetics.
it's a matter of are you genetically well built to (which means capability) increase the talent.
if you are not built well,
your system(mind and body genetic structure) will not perform beyond the genetic capability.

example, you buy something that is not built well,
    it will not function properly,
it will most likely break or such and only last a short period of time.
including the ware and tear of the object from use of
    if built well,
it will perform to standards(function properly) and not break as fast and/or last a long time,
including the ware and tear of the object from use of.

your system is nothing more than a organic machine.

    I disagree.

Firstly, 'pertains to' and 'related' make your statement erroneous. If you have something to add, please do. If you disagree, provide factual evidence. Otherwise, trolling is 'related to' a'feeble mind.'

Furthermore, my examples of cultural influences and specific life experiences are entirely unrelated to genetics as you specifically state.

    Prepare for Ban-nation.

Mind you it works in reverse: even a born idiot with the right family, right connections, silver spoon and all, can become say President of the United States cica 2001-2009...

Strength, besides muscle mass, is connected to the ability to build-up and utilize anaerobic energy storage within the muscles. Aerobic exercise uses oxygen. This is good for stamina, but has limitations in terms of the quick energy release needed for strength.

Strength requires the building up an energy reserve within the muscles that can be burned without oxygen; glycogen pathway. Genetically, some people can build and store this anaerobic energy easier. But this energy cycle is also something one can develop using anaerobic conditioning routines.

The muscle head or body builder term "burn" describes the build up of lactic acid due to anaerobic training. If you can sustain this, the muscles begin to adapt to the constant anaerobic conditions and begin the anaerobic energy build up. When you need it, you can trigger the metabolism boost while holding your breath. Aerobic energy will kick in later. The short distance sprinter used this energy for that explosive burst out of the starting blocks. When I was in college, I was the strongest person pound for pound; thin but strong.

why is it when something that is stated goes against some ones opinion and not actually science fact, the individual resorts to claiming trolling ?

what i stated is actually science fact.
at least learn something on genetics and biology.

genes are structural and descriptive data.

majority of the individuals on this site are completely ridiculous.

i think i had enough of this place.
