I mean, is it so great that it brought a lot of great ideas to mankind about how to build our society?

What's your thought on this matter?

By the way, is the apple a great fruit? Is it so great that it bought great ideas about how to bake a pie?

Apple is great because it is nutritious, healthy.

But it can have worms in it. And eating too much can make your stomach rupture - it can even kill you. And you can extract arsenic from it's seeds. Is it still a great fruit ?

I refer to good apple, not bad apple.

Christianity has done great harm to mankind and our societies for centuries, as have pretty much all religions. We can't build societies with belief systems and irrational mindsets, ignorance and intolerance, yet these are the kinds of traits on which our societies have been built. It's little wonder they are in the abysmal state they are in today.

Atheists can and will try to create an atheist version of religion; it is a simple fact that religion feeds our spiritual nature in a way that pure science cannot. So let the atheists try, and we will all see what happens. While Christianity is very powerful, it is also oppressive against gays and lesbians. In contrast, New Age religions are much more loving and tolerant, but they are not as strong, and are easily watered down. I have been asked by spirits: which religion is better? I honestly don't know. I believe that Christianity is strong and it allows smaller more tolerant religions to exist. I believe that atheist versions of religion will be tried, but will ultimately fail because they lack the most important ingredient: spiritual power.

    That is simply stupid.

    Yes, religion feeds delusion.

We will see a world where religious delusions that cause so much conflict in the world will disappear.

That is just one reason amongst many that Christianity needs to go the way of the dodo.

Religions are not loving and tolerant, quite the contrary.

    That is an obvious lie.

If Christianity had it's way, it would not allow any other religions to exist, that is why we have secularism.

    LOL. Hilarious.

Some atheist named Alain de Bottom is doing exactly that. He's trying to create an atheist version of religion.

OK. Anders Breivik, a Christian terrorist, killed 76 people about two years ago. Recent enough?

Sorry he could not be a Christian . A christian is a follower of teaching of Christ and Christ thought the follower , not to kill
