I was impressed by the photos of "sky rods" in this site and when I saw the giant version caught on video passing by an airplane, I was amazed. Flying Rods: Insects, Serpents, or UFOs?

There's also larger versions caught on video which are a lot less easy to explain by simple "camera effects".

Now compare to the bigger version caught on video:

Are you serious? First of all, that's surly a "doctored" image. Secondly what is this talk about ..."But, what are these similar looking, but much larger creatures, that fly in outer space with UFOs?"

Fly in outer space with UFO's? No one is showing anything in outer space "with the UFO'S".

No, I don't think it is. Keep an open mind on this one. There's loads of good video evidence of these fast flying rod-insects. Here's a good one:

    Skyfish - Flying rods ufo

Oh right, I missed that part in the quote I gave. I'll remove it as I'm not convinced they can been seen in the footage given in the comments section, although the effect is similar.

Here's some good footage Flying Rods Which Move Faster Than The Eye Can See. Go to 37mins to see the experiment with a high speed camera. The image shows a moth in this set-up. Good results which I accept. The question they miss is how can a moth move at speeds of up to 200mph during the day, as seen flying past the airplane and also appear to be so large?

OK, optical illusion. My point is that you start with the most logical before going to flying skyfish at home under the water, in outer space or in our atmosphere

I'm okay with this, I used to be a scientific officer. How do you answer my question in post#4?

With no evidence I can't answer that. I don't have the film or anything else so there is no test that I could possibly do. I don't begin with the extraordinary however.

'Rods' are simply moths or other insects. It is really quite simple and not amazing at all. A video is just a series of still photos and when you see a 'rod', it is an insect that has flapped its wings 4 or 5 times during the time that the shutter was open.

As far as the question in post 4: The question they miss is how can a moth move at speeds of up to 200mph during the day, as seen flying past the airplane and also appear to be so large?

The answer is moths can't fly at 200 mph and things close to the camera appear larger, than things far away.

Regular insects can't fly at 200mph agreed, but people who have studied the phenomena state on the video that something *does* travel up to this speed. Watch the video at 2min and listen to the testimony of a professional cameraman who states that it was extremely fast moving and very large, almost missile like which appeared in a few frames of the aircraft footage. He knows what insects look like on film, because he's a professional cameraman! This is something new. You can see from the footage that it isn't close to the camera, it's at a similar distance to the aircraft. Are all the experts who witnessed the film simply less intelligent than yourself? Is the FBI man just running away with a video of a regular moth filmed near the airport? No! He knows that it's a UFO that the government can't explain. If it's by an airport then this is potentially embarrassing for the authorities, because they don't what they are and aren't able to catch them or control them. It's a potential hazard which they don't like to admit.

Yes but "these people who have studied this" are idiots.

He is a camera man, which means he takes pictures - it is going to take more than he say so to convince me (or any rational being) that bugs fly at 200 mph.

    Apparently not!

    No, it isn't.

As a matter of fact it is not possible tell the relative distances in the footage. It is safe to assume that it is not a giant bug flying at 200 mph though.

Apparently so, if they think it is a giant UFO bug flying at 200 mph.

There are no FBI agents confiscating videos of bug shaped UFOs. This is what is known as fantasy.

And, they clocked those insects flying at 200mph or were they just guessing?

People who see meteors always think they are closer than they are. It's not because they are idiots. When I see meteors I think they look like they are just over my neighbors house...but they aren't

For my information only: A LEADING RESEARCHER CLAIMS TO HAVE FOUND A PAIR OF SPACE ALIEN BUGS AT A UFO LANDING SITE . The fact that they were a pair fits with the observations of 15ft by 1ft diameter giant eel-like 'nymphs' which were seen in pairs.

"INSECT SPECIALISTS FROM AROUND THE WORLD IMMEDIATELY REQUESTED ACCESS TO THE BUGS.

BUT FARNER REFUSED, SAYING THAT MY RESEARCH - NOT PROFESSIONAL COURTESY COMES FIRST."

Until Farner releases his findings to the real experts, he will be considered a loon.

I was going to attempt to say something funny and or derogatory about this but I can't think of anything funnier than the sentence as it stands.

Yes, you couldn't make it up. It's one of the qualities which makes me think that there's actually some genuine merit behind these claims.

Compare the paddle shaped wings with this moving image:

    flying orb like a bird

    and this:

    Orb with flapping wings?
