well than others here shouldn't take you too seriously too. And guess what? The name of God you are spitting on, that is a joke, too?

OK then! You campaign for that.

I'm not spitting on anyone's God. Just suggesting you don't take the Bible too seriously. (And unless you advocate the murder of gays I suspect you don't take the Bible too seriously either; are you "spitting on God?")

Why should anyone listen to a failed messiah? Maybe Jesus was the petulant child who didn't like rules.

My take on the verse well… Okay IMO it is an archaic paradigm written by ancient humans living in a culture/society that was patriarchal millennia ago and has been used as a harmful battle cry in the crusades of mistreatment and deprival of basic human dignity. For me who you love or what you do in the bedroom is completely between you and your lover/partner. I have no motivation or reason to have my views imposed upon another person in their personal lives or suggest how they should live.

You are the one spitting on God by saying that's what Bible says, which it obviously does not.

Leviticus 20: "Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying . . . . If a man lies with a male as he lies with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination. They shall surely be put to death. Their blood shall be upon them."

This are not God's words, than. This is blasphemy.

It's from the Bible, which is often accepted as the Word of God. It even says "the Lord spoke to Moses . . ." so this is literally the Word of God.

If you take the Bible literally, that is. Most people don't, me (and you) included.

For those interested in the history of the bible, from a timeline perspective, etc...I included a link to it in Greatest_I_Am's thread...about adam and eve.
It's in the religion section...check it out. It will give perspective as to who compiled the books of the bible, and when.
And perhaps why we can't take certain parts, literally.
    Just thought I'd share that...it's just a one-pager.

I believe in God; the bible, however puts Him in a box. :/
