I am kind of surprised that Snowden and his financial sponsors are not able to raise a mere 216K to get him to South America. And just how does Snowden expect to support himself? Will he mooch off of WikiLeaks till the end of his time?

Snowden is a very intelligent man and will greatly benefit the Russian security forces FSB as well as Humanitarian agencies for civil rights in Russia. With his help the CIA tactics at spying on international meetings will be unveiled and more security will be put in place to prevent such information leakage to US security forces. It is a great honor and great privilege to have a great individual supporting the equilibrium of the world´s forces through sharing of information. Two, those “CIA Pawn Countries” have a nasty little habit of ignoring what the CIA wants or what the US wants and doing it their way (e.g. Operation El Dorado Canyon). As far as intelligence, I think and I think anyone with half a brain thinks, Snowden has already shot that wad a couple of times. And it should come as no surprise countries spy on each other. I seem to recall the US capturing a Russian spy ring operating in the US not too long ago. In fact I recall the US capturing several Russian/Soviet spy rings operating in and outside the US over the course of the last few decades. And then there was the small matter of Russians giving US diplomats gifts embedded with passive listening (i.e. spying) devices. And then there is the small matter of the US embassy built in Moscow that had to be destroyed and rebuilt because of all the spying devices which the Soviets had embedded into the structure during construction. And then there was the small matter of our good allies the Israelis whom we have caught spying on us numerous times. And if Snowden was intelligent as you claim, he wouldn't be stuck in a waiting area in a Russian airport for several weeks now desperately pleading for asylum. If he were a martyr, he wouldn't be desperately trying to save his ass right now. He wouldn't have stolen information. He wouldn't have fled. He would have stood his ground and protected his credibility. He would not have held the security of peaceful citizens hostage to his demands for his personal protection. Ok, that is nice demagoguery, but what does that mean exactly? And what privacy and basic liberties have been infringed exactly? More importantly, what US laws have been broken? In a nutshell, the only one who has broken US law is Snowden. That is kind of why he is a fugitive from justice. I have killed no one. You really need to start reining in the schizophrenia. Did Snowden magnanimously give up his job? Actually he was fired and two he wasn’t making 200k as he claimed. He was making 122k dollars and that is more the norm for the kind of job he held and it is fairly modest considering where he lived. So congratulations, just recited one of Snowden’s lies. If Snowden wanted to be a martyr as he and those around him like to portray him to be, he would have gone through normal whistle blower channels and he would not have ran. Jesus didn't run from the cross. Snowden would have a lot more credibility if he had not stolen information and used it as a cudgel to threaten the security of every law abiding citizen in the world, in particular he would not have stolen information and used it as a weapon against the people who paid him and the people who raised him. If Snowden really wanted martyrdom, he didn’t need to flee to the other side of the world and seek refuge in states that are known to be serial civil rights abusers (e.g. China and Russia) as he did. If Snowden really wanted martyrdom, he could have done that much more credibly at home in the US and without threatening those he claims to be protecting.

Ah Great choice from a respectable US immigrated defector with an obvious "un-biased" view. Let me tell you, the many Russian "spies" and "weapon sellers" and "drug sellers" that were put to jail in USA, without proper trial or any chance of fair defense. They are the ones suffering right now in USA, they are the ones being harassed, treated like animals.
