    Electrons don't appear to be made of smaller particles, why do you assume that quarks must be?
     
  8. I think that there is a particle smaller than electrons and quarks. And it is the composition of the universe.

    That's not an answer to my question Victore. I asked you why you make the assumption that quarks must be made up of something smaller, not if you think that quarks are made up of something smaller.

    So there can only be one fundamental building block? How do you know that there aren't two(not saying there are)?
