    Fun history for Holidays Post,

I have seen "Pirates of Silicon Valley" movie and knew the long Saga of how Bill Gates sold absolutely nothing (He CLAIMED to have a "Disc Operating System/DOS"), but he had NOTHING. He also had IBM pen an agreement that MICROSOFT was to retain rights to the SOFTWARE AND DRIVE SYSTEM, and also had NOTHING at the time the deal was done. They then piled in a car and drove to some guy in some state that claimed to have a working operating system and offered him $50000 for it. The guy signs over his rights for that price and microsoft was born.

It was xerox who actually developed windows first, but then IBM made Microsoft "evaluate" xerox software, and they copied it all and changed it a bit and called it their own. Apple was doing the same thing, and Bill gates formed an Evil friendship with Steve Jobs. Microsoft had pure access to all IBM computers being sold, and so it was his inferior version of windows that beat out the betamax version. Steve Jobs drove his employees to the max, and basically tortured them, encouraging marathon work sessions like 30+ hours straight. Steve Jobs abused his girlfriend, and despite his wealth ignored his daughter for the first six years of her life, and then he used his wealth to take custody. Steve Jobs was an ass. He sure did come up with some great new technologies though.

Spoiler alert these are clips in the movie about Bill Gates battle with Steve Jobs.

Then this. (The one in middle is more storyline of true story. History).

I think the history of how our PC/MAC's came into being is worth knowing. I think the entire movie is on youtube, but unsure.

    From WIKI

Although Kodak developed a digital camera in 1975, the first of its kind, the product was dropped for fear it would threaten Kodak's photographic film business.

If Kodak was a Bank, they'd be bailed out right now and the Government would own a bunch of useless film.

Let's not overlook the importance of Microsoft Basic, also known as Level II Basic on the TRS-80.

I am glad i was born without that animalistic drive, that capitalist system wants and thrives on. We are now moving towards socialism world, and i am glad. Only half the people really in society can make a life for themsleves, thats life. Capitalist system is shown in this, that people in the old system we are leaving behind is no way to do things if we want a one world gov.

What makes me laugh is that bill gates talks about making a better world, but when he was making his empire, he would of stepped over anyone to get it.

Real socialist system they are making thankfully may make those animalistic attitudes extinct, as i hate the way a majority want to destroy everyone.

Bill gates and steve jobs thing is perfect example of what i hate. Everyone can have something, if people just accepted they do not need much, and not take it all.

Greed is an animalistic drive, and i never had it, so most of you have a drive i never had. So i know they can get rid of greed. Most of the population has animal tendencies that i do not have, so i know they can get rid of yours too. Humans do not need to be like the way gates was and drive over everyone. I know from my life, i never wanted that as i want nothing you people have. So science can fix society alot better, and i am sure they will make a total socialist world gov one day.

    Thx for posting op.

trs80 was our first computer too.

there is a book called hackers that goes into early PC history.
unfortunately the names of people have been changed.
this book with other outside material can give you the lowdown on the subject.

the major reason we have todays computers is because IBM made their 286 architecture available to the masses.
it doesn't seem to bother anyone that IBM isn't making a dime from any machine sold today when in fact they are entitled to it.

    Correction.

It was Xerox that made and design the first GUI (OS). Which is where Apple got their ideas, because Xerox computers cost to much money for anyone to buy (including businesses), but they had a revolutionary idea that they were willing to show to other companies.

That was in the 70s, if people had money to buy those computers for a few 1,000 dollars, which was the price of a car. Xerox would have led the market and Microsoft or Apple wouldn't exist today. It would just be IBM and Xerox.

actually there is more of a career in robot manufacturing than in repair....Repair bots are already widely used in some multi national companies especially in China and Germany as an alternative to manforce
