Same day there were also already ads for a piece of the meteorite for only $49.99.

Weren't you the one who said this newspaper will write anything that other news media will not write? A small little paragraph with no witness accounts or pictures or videos is "proof"?

Okay so you said the newspaper was "Examiner" not the "Star-Telegram"

That however does not prove that this "Star-Telegram" story is any more real than the one from Examiner. What is peculiar however is that the story from Examiner has extensive long eyewitness account for pages long, meanwhile the "Star-Telegram" meteorite story is hardly a paragraph long. ...yet you "wise" old respectable of others man take it for granted.

I take *nothing* for granted. The Cuban event was reported by several other media outlets as well. And no - I'm not about to take the time to run them down for someone like you. <shrug>

Might not be more than just eyewitness accounts, as there is different technology in Cuba, as well as the meteor there may have been small enough to not leave anything much behind nor cause damage that can be documented. At least there seems to be some correlation of stories, that's more than I thought was available on the sighting.

My pants are fine (what ever that stupid remark was supposed to mean). <shrug>

"Someone like you" is a jerk. And I don't waste any time on lazy, know-nothing jerks.

Forgive me Read-Only, for clearly others have shown me that Cuban meteorite impact did occur.

Thank You Asguard and billvon for stepping up to the fairness and justice.

Proof in my opinion is a video and pictures or some sort of scientific data recorded by astronomical observatories. Billvion provided me that proof, thank you Billvion.

It would be nice if someone made a project recording statistics of meteorites in Earth atmosphere based on their number, area of impact (fragments scattering), usual time of impact, their source (approximation), and date of impact. And could make a 3D Earth meteor statistical map...that would be sooo cool.

Since there was one LAST year at about this time, and THREE this year, let me be the first to predict that next year at about this time there may or may not be one!
