YES!!! This is a milestone for me - This is the first time I have been able to correctly answer a question AlphaNumeric has asked. I guess I'm 'da man'.

By the way since prof layman apparently worked on radar systems and yet he thinks radar emits electrons instead of microwaves, I don't think you can possibly get through to him - but I am glad you are postiing anyway because I like learning new 'stuff' from your posts.

Seriously? I missed him saying that! Electrons? For radar? That really is stuff they teach kids and it doesn't require any understanding of how radar works in terms of modelling reflected signals, it's just a basic little factoid.

PL, that's another reason it was so laughable you seriously think you could have helped with this mythical tachyon based temporal communications device you claim exists, you don't even know basic facts about simple bits of technology.

It's something I've heard a few people who engage in scientific smackdowns of creationists say also but the reason I do the lengthy details is not really that I think someone as cloth headed as PL will learn it (he's proven he cannot even retain simple science from high school) but because people reading who do give a shit about reality and intellectual honesty will gain from it. Do I think Reiku learns anything about the Dirac equation when I explain in detail Clifford algebras? Like hell I do but someone else might. This is why I often just ignore PMs which demand a response about something, if I'm going to stream roll someone's bullshit I want it to be of benefit to someone since it doesn't sink into the brains of the bullshit peddler.

In every laymans text that mentions the Planck Scale, which most of them do, say that it is the smallest distance that can be measured without infinite energy. That is how the values of the Planck Scale is found. If you calculated what distance would require infinite energy to measure it then you would find the Planck Scale. To say something below this scale can be measured would be to deny that the Planck Scale is actually the value it would take to measure a distance that would require infinite energy.

How could he when the equations of the singularity blow up into infinity?

It is an old big bang theory that may now be obsolete. I think it was created to solve the problem of conservation of energy. But, now they seem to think that the Big Bang could be conserved without it.

It seemed that way when it has just been renectly published by a string theorist in a laymans text. The word multiverse just started being used recently in laymans text as well.

If there was an infinite amount of areas in the universe that are the same then there would have to be an infinite number of identical starting conditions in order for that to happen. You could never have a finite starting condition that then springs forth an infinite number of copies of something. Each copy would require its own identical starting condition, and then there would have to be an infinite number of them.

A lot of people seem to be falling for it, you never even showed me that you even knew that it requires infinite energy to measure something smaller than the Planck Scale, that is supposed to be scientific fact. I don't see how something that requires infinite energy can happen even though there is not infinite energy. I think a lot of crackpot theories could be overturned just by this one basic fact.

This is why you hate nothing more than being shown up by a layman, and proven wrong, don't deny it.

Maybe you would like to explain what particles microwaves are made of, and why they come out of electronic circuit boards that manipulate electrons. Is there some magic wand electron to microwave conversion system involved? Electrons can be in the microwave band, it does not have to be photons.

    Microwaves are photons, not electrons.

But of course, someone who thinks they're smarter than Einstein would know that.

So an old microwave transciever uses photons? Ya right. There is no electron to photon conversion system in these types of electronics. It is simply electrons being sent out on an antenna. All that is, is a metal wire. That does not convert electrons to photons. Maybe you need to inform the inventors of these electronics to stop calling them microwave then? This is actually more knowledge that Einstein had, they hadn't been invented yet.

With every post you make, you appear more stupid. Who could have thought it's possible?

I am sorry you have crackpot theories about the speed of electrons that do not allow things already invented to function. The electrons are at the microwave band of the spectrum.

YOU call HIS stuff "crackpot"??? Wow - I never cease to be amazed at your sheer ignorance! It's obvious you don't know the first thing about EM radiation - including microwaves. And I'll bet you've never even heard of a klystron or magenetron either. I've done considerable work with both types - care to guess what their function is? Hint - both are electronic devices...

Right. He ranks right in there with some of THE least educated people who post here. Did you see his silly statement in another thread about EM waves being the result of photons' wave/particle duality? And another gem, while talking about hole flow in transistors he called the holes "positrons?" Egad! what a no-knowledge troll !!

    Prof.Layman:

You are posting in a Science subforum.

Claiming that electrons are part of the electromagnetic spectrum is ignorant at best, and misleading trolling at worst.

If you don't know something, ask. There are plenty of educated people here.

If I find that you are constantly posting falsehoods in Science subforums (in particular), a ban may become necessary.

Let me know when the educated people here find out about wireless electronic devices! I would be more happy to be banned from a site filled with so many cranks. It would be the best way to keep me from talking to them, and not being corrupted by their crackpot ideas. It is clear that nothing on this site can be trusted as being a fact. Its funny that you think you are preventing falsehoods here, when after I do get banned you will just end up letting everyone suffer from the delusion that electronics transmit photons. Then anyone with any actual experience in electronics will know what a joke this site is, and what is actually science is what the most people claim to be ignorant when it is completely filled with ignorant fools. All you really found was a bunch of ignorant fools claiming falsehoods. It appears you have clearly been banning the wrong people.

STFU! Just because you are so retarded you cannot even repeat what I said because you are to ignorant to comprehend it doesn't mean anything but of how retarded you are. You are a testiment to how much falshoods and ignorance this site would put up with for someone having over 9k post. You still haven't heard that electrons are both a particle and a wave. What universe do you come from where waves can exist without particles? Did they prove that they where actually just waves and not particles? Or particles and not waves?

Electrons are neither particles nor waves. They are quanta.

No, I'm not the least bit retarded - but is that possibly the reason why *you* can't get anything right? Because here you go again, this time you are confusing electrons with photons.

It really would be best if you just left this site. That way, we'd have at least one less uneducated crank spouting nonsense and pure garbage.

Sadly, he wouldn't know the difference between a quanta and a kumquat. <sigh>
