How many do you think a group of people needs to be in size to adequately defend themselves? It would be harder to do it on your own.
Anyone see the killing strain? http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6B9FgZxMMII&desktop_uri=/watch?v=6B9FgZxMMII http://m.imdb.com/title/tt1669819/ What could we really do? And did you like the movie?
2010 zombie film - the dead http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Dead_(2010_film)#section_1 http://www.thedead-movie.com/index.php http://www.rottentomatoes.com/mobile/m/the_dead_2009/ I thought it was a good movie. The ending could have been better. But good overall... Tell me what you think.. So would you want a fast or slow zombie attacking? If its slow like in THE Dead we have issues. Either way we would be in trouble..
I used to work construction, so I've always thought I'd feel more at home with heavy weapons in this kind of situation. Give me a sledgehammer, and a fireman's axe. I should be good. Besides, with those, even if I miss the head, I'm going to break something and make it harder for them to come at me. Even a zombie would find it difficult to walk with shattered leg bones. Well if anyone thinks about it you would likely have to defend against all these options. And if not, it is best to prepare as if you were. As a example... Say you start out with a building it gets over run. So you get a shot to make a run for it an you do. Then you come to a open field. You get past that you deal with woods. When you get out of the woods, you and the "survivors" you came across, find a very small defensible town you make a "fort" and at night more zombies come......
Ok. What would this accomplish? You may not be able to read there writing or fly there ship. And it might be booby trapped
I have knowledge of orbital dynamics and general space environment technology, it cannot be so different. Do Astronauts have booby traps on their spaceships? No.
Youreyes, Have you seen this movie? http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Predators_(film) The Alien blows up his ship. Our "ships" are not "rigged" with booby traps and explosives. But a more advanced society might.
Well I can't delete. So i will change this to ask in case of zombies attacking why is it a good idea in movies to get a boat? And what do zombies eat when they are not attacking humans? Animals?
The idea behind zeds is that they dont' HAVE to eat anything - they attack others because the virus reproduces by taking over a killed host, and so the virus directs them to attack living beings to "spread". As for the boat idea - it's because Zombies would lack the co-ordination to swim... but the problem is, as they do not need to breath and are not susceptible to pressures of the sea floor, they can last for decades or more on the bottom of the sea until something kills them (most likely natural erosion of the dead body)
interesting angle. So how do you think they determine what's living?and what stops them going after pets and animals. another interesting angle. Thank you. Now with resident evil the zombie "strain" moved to animals. And the last place I would wish to be is on a boat. You would get low on food water, resources, and power.. You would likely get "cabin fever" as well. I would want on stay one of the florida keys. Or a island I can make "secure".
just a crazy idea (if your in the uk this might work for you) of the coast of the UK there are abandon sea fortresses from the military from WWII and if they are still stable, you could "claimed them" before the out break and supplied them well or worked fast enough within the 24 hour period of the infection you can last a while there and try to make them semi self sufficient (rain catchers some buckets to grow potted vegetables and fruits ) you could lessen the amount of time you'd have to take trips to the main land.
