    bilvon,

"No, that's the big mistake you are making. The laws of physics, not you, will decide how it works (if at all."

NO! The laws of physics do nothing on their own, but when a genius makes use of them incredible things happen.

Laws of physics and I go hand in hand a long time back.

    Made anything yourself then?

    Aqueous ID,

"What do you mean "DaS Valve?" "

See web, numerous postings!. Type into search the words DaS Valve. Possibly also featured this Forum site, though need to cross check.

"You mean a check valve? "

NO!, I deliberately and intentionaly used the words "one way valve" to describe the valve and name it as that purchasable by!

    Aqeous ID,

"I didn't understand this either. The "turbine" in your OP is a car water pump, used in reverse. ???"

The OP contains a car water pump, but its not run in reverse, that would defy its developed purpose!

Oh really? I've noticed physics works when you least expect it.

    Aqueous ID,

Hindenburg certainly unexpected. The train expected after the first shake. The plane crash fully expected after passing through 400 feet!

    "What is its purpose?"

    To efficiently pump water!

    I stand corrected. You meant a one-way valve, not a check valve. . .

Now that we've got that cleared up, perhaps you can tell me what opens the check one-way valve.

The text beside your drawing speaks of a pump.

There is only one symbol in the drawing that could possibly be a pump. You had me believing you were forcing water up into a water pump, which is why I said "in reverse"... I was led to believe this is how a home mechanic makes a turbine.

    Aqueous ID,

Absolutely correct! "The text beside your drawing speaks of a pump."

I had you beleiving correctly then! "You had me believing you were forcing water up into a water pump, which is why I said "in reverse"... I was led to believe this is how a home mechanic makes a turbine"

    Aqueous ID,

Water/liquid opens each one way valve at the appropiate moment! "perhaps you can tell me what opens the check one-way valve"

    Aqeous ID,

Its purpose is to act as a turbine! "What is its purpose? "

    leopold,
"it doesn't work that way." Well bugger me, its had us fooled all along. Must be something else then making it work!

""if". My Aunty would be my Uncle" if" only she had balls.

    Aqueous ID.

No I do not! "What do you mean? The device in your sketch does not work?"

Moderator note: DaS Energy has been banned for 3 days for flaming another member.

Implying that members of sciforums are pedophiles, without providing appropriate evidence, will attract a ban every time.

Please try to keep it civil in future.

I saw that coming. Decorum broke down almost from the start, but that remark was over the line. There are a few good folks here who do enjoy talking about energy in the abstract; for most folks it's a lot more accessible a science topic than, say, quantum physics or cosmology. Plus, home energy ideas are of universal interest. I'd like to see this or a similar thread develop into an actual exchange of ideas.

I agree with that thought and would like to see that also.

Here's one I always found interesting, it's called by a couple of different names, one being "Wally Minto's Wonder Wheel." I first saw it in a 1976 issue of Popular Science magazine. Somewhat similar to DaS Energy's piece of junk which could never work, it employs a low-boiling-point working fluid - such as the now-outlawed Freon refrigerant or propane. It also makes full use of good old phase change to boil some of the liquid into gas to force some of the liquid into a higher chamber on the wheel.

    Utter simplicity at work.

Really? You leave a lump of uranium sitting on a table and nothing will happen to it until a genius makes use of it? If you think that then there are some items missing in your science education.

    Great! Make use of them.

Wireless power systems, electric vehicles, satellite phones, cellphones, cellphone chargers, adaptive tuners, one handed keyboards, cell balancer circuits and inverters for electric motor drives. Oh, and we built a 400-way that also relied on physics quite a bit.

correct, within the laws of physics.
i have reservations whether this is true.
okay, i think we've been through this before.
if you aren't hyped up on over unity then why all the hoopla over a refrigeration device?

    aside:
the spacing is wrong in this post.
the blank line should go AFTER my reply.
