I felt like this was getting off topic. So I brought this to a new thread. So we could all discuss this.
In my opinion I seem some as Evil or scum. And others I don't. But there is a chance anyone could become Evil.
Do you believe there are evil people? What do you feel makes up the psychological profile of a evil person? How do you feel they deal with being "scum". Any thoughts welcome....

I guarantee its not out of fear..

What is evil? Are those who take advantage of others by lying to them in order to get their money from them evil? Are those who abuse others in nursing homes, child day care centers and hospitals evil? Are those who use political power to get whatever they want out of life by taking bribes and pay offs evil? Are husbands that leave they families without any financial aid evil? Are bullies that hurt others evil? So let us define what you mean by evil and just who you want to address. Or is just evil itself what you want to discuss? That is a whole bunch of things that can be delt with as you see. I don't see evil, I see good and bad people.

That was great! However there is nothing in this whole scenario that doesn't make me so disgusted that I want to violently vomit my own internal organs. I despise those people on that list so intensely that I can't tell if my vision is blurry from the fact that just woke up or from my own unforgiving rage. If allowed i will gut them with an honest to god smile on my face and then proceed to paint the home I build with their bodies with their very blood.....that's something I would say if I were a dangerous sociopath with a long history of violence.

Lets just call them evil. When getting on the topic of evil you need to realize one man lies, one man is EVIL. Literally just evil to good. Is a liar necessarily evil? I would say yes as a minion, or follower (not to offend) to the much more in depth wise to it evil.

What is, is. People can not change who they are to the all knowing. Both good, and evil where born as such whether they notice or not.

Yes, and i'm not sure everyone could become evil, but it's possible. Each person is born with the potential for good and bad, in some unique mixture. Our early experience predisposes us more toward one than the other; later, we decide to resist the bad or go with it; we set priorities and choose methods of reaching our goals. As much of our course depends on environment as on character. Everybody does some bad things: takes the short-cut, tells the convenient lie, helps himself to an unearned reward, hurts somebody's feelings. That doesn't make a person evil. A single evil deed doesn't; not even a cluster of them: the person can still abjure that path and make amends.

I define a bad deed as one that inadvertently or peripherally causes harm to another life-form, or to the life-support system; an evil deed as one that's intended to cause suffering. Forgetting to feed the dog is bad; withholding food is evil. Smacking a child in anger is bad; ritual beating is evil.
The moment a person chooses evil actions as the route to ambition, adopts them as standard operating procedure, that person becomes evil. (The day a mafioso makes his bones, or an interrogator at Abu Gharaib puts the blindfolds on her prisoners.)

There are probably many different profiles. I would expect their empathy quotient to be very low and selective, or absent. I would expect them to be suspicious to the point of paranoia and have no close friends. I would expect them to have an inflated but fragile ego; touchy, easily offended, vengeful. Probably single-minded, self-righteous, intolerant, unwilling to change, and need always to be in control.

As long as they're on top, vindicated and triumphant. They wouldn't describe their actions as bad or evil, but as effective and necessary; wouldn't see themselves as scum, but as pragmatists. When they fail or are defeated, they blame someone else. They avoid dealing with their own character.

What is Evil you ask? You don't have a dictionary, or a search engine?
    Ok here is a site..
    http://m.dictionary.com/t/?q=evil&o=0&l=dir

    It says:
all that and more take your pick.
There is also this in the dictionary.

Morally bad or wrong; wicked: an evil tyrant. Causing ruin, injury, or pain; harmful: the evil effects of a poor diet. Characterized by or indicating future misfortune; ominous: ...

Hey Klown you mentioned some names I was going to add. Pol Pot, Vlad, Stalin, and Saddam. I liked your site. Although i see Justin Beaver as bad and I hate his music. It reminds me of the back street boys in the 90's.

I feel G.W. Bush is in the same category as Hitler and Stalin and Nixon. Bush is the cause of murdered Iraqi people and many American have been killed unnecessary . I hope will come a time were this Bastard be prosecuted as war criminal .

Why Bush and not Cheney? Why Nixon and not Kissinger? The most visible figures get the whole reputation, even though Stalin and Hitler also had plenty of expeditors and millions more cheering. Evil on that scale is a team effort. A better question than who is an evil tyrant might be : Why do people support them?

Torquemada + all the popes, bishops, inquisitors, executioners and torturers of Inquiry on Heretical Perversity through 700 years.

Good question. The dictionary definition points back to the concept of morality. Evil people are immoral. Okay, so how do we define "immoral"? Every religion has its own definition of morality, and within many religions there are sects that define it further. Secular institutions like nations also define morality.

These definitions conflict routinely. Many religions define homosexual relations as evil, whereas the majority of the citizens of this state of Maryland (and several others) have ruled just the opposite.

I have argued that the most fundamental rule of civilization must be: You may never kill another human being, except in self-defense against someone who is trying to kill you, i.e., someone who broke the rule first. Otherwise we would have to put so much time, effort and attention into protecting ourselves against each other that the surplus productivity that drives civilization would be dissipated and we'd end up right back in the Paleolithic Era.

Yet there are entire communities on this planet who believe that it's okay to kill people just because they make movies or draw cartoons or write novels that insult their imaginary supernatural holy creatures. If we can agree that these people are evil, then we're off to a good start. But these people have their own countries and make their own laws, and somehow we have to share the planet with them.

How do you coexist with evil people? Especially when they're asking themselves the same question about us, and responding, "You don't. You just kill them."

We can't possibly address these questions until we settle the one about killing. If you have to look over your shoulder every time you exercise your right to freedom of speech, ready to escape from (or shoot back at) a religious zealot who believes he is exercising his right to cleanse the world of blasphemers, questions of elder abuse, bribery, and family abandonment can't take much priority.

There is no age limit on a pedophile. And once a pedophile always a pedophile. That's why they are registered here in the USA. And sometimes they take it to far and kill the kid or do it out of fear.

Nice post F.R. To bad we can't A bomb them "Zealots". And maybe we could end all those pissing contest wars. But we would have a glass parking lot. And huge oil fires. It would not be an advisable thing I know. But it would imo be quick end to people fighting there. And it would or could possibly be considered evil.

I assume you're referring to the corporations that sell alcohol and tobacco? Those are the two most harmful drugs, in terms of addiction, health issues and dangerous behavior (for alcohol: drunk drivers kill 50 times as many people as terrorists).

That stigmatized version is the term I call the salesmen of alcohol and tobacco; of course they don't get penalized like a street thug selling crack, heroine, marijuana, and meth. The corporations in charge of these “legal” drugs can get away with murder because it’s “legal” to sell and consume such detrimental products.

Upon reading more about psychopaths and I'm not talking so much about the serial killers only

I'm talking about those that are more intelligent than these people

Investigate this Web-Site, on the right hand side you will see , psychopathic studies
