Here I was all prepared to go into that long spiel of Mogul only to have him show invented and concocted stories. Jeez, I had no idea we were permitted to invent reality as we go. Hell, it wasn't Mogul. It was the Planet Express delivery ship. Proving a negative doesn't work. Nice try, dishonest man. The onus is on YOU to support your claims, not on others to prove something is not there. Gerhard Kemmerer; I won't bother.
And that just goes to prove that you're just as nutty and no smarter than your fellow "believers." Let's see YOU provide EVIDENCE that Santa does not exist!! Get it? It's totally impossible to prove a negative. Sheesh! I figured all school kids know that by the time they're 13 or 14. Would you have us think you're really THAT dumb????
Some of us pay for peer review journals, not books. Don't get me wrong- books are great. I haven't bought a book in many years... which isn't a good thing, really. But discriminating reading comes into play. It's a let down, you see. River, you're operating by belief, not by factual reality. You believe that aliens have been to Earth and that's fine. It's not fine when you start insulting others who don't agree with you.
Exactly right. We've got nothing. Go brag to your friends about how you stumped the skeptics. They will pat you on the back for your ingenuity.
Seriously - if you aren't bright enough to realize that a negative cannot be proven, you need to go back and let your mommy change your diaper because that requires a degree of intelligence also. <shrug>
No, give him a chance to prove that other posters here, self included, have got nothing. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
Oh, the door is always open for him. But his challenge for us to prove aliens don't exist is childish nonsense. He's not worth bothering with.
There are millions of intelligent people who have enough knowledge and experience to support what is being discussed.
Argumentum ad numerum. "There are millions of intelligent people that believe in God." This does not demonstrate that there is a God. Whether many people, that by our standards, we may call "intelligent" believe in alien vistitation does not demonstrate it's happened. Beliefs have a way of becoming a bit... odd... sometimes: Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image! Yes, Richard Hoagland was 100% serious when he made that claim. He truly believed that there was a small white bunny on Mars... that the rover operators maliciously ran over to cover up it's existence.
Your reasoning? If some people believe something that is not true, then there cannot be anything true to believe in? Intelligent people believe in God and know about UFO's, apparently you don't believe in either or know about either, does that mean you are not as bright as you would like to think? I don't think so, you have not been exposed to what others have seen and experienced, that's all. You are so switched on sometimes, and then other times...too much going on.
THere are plenty of things that can be tested true; which is much more reliable than faith in aliens. And it's also possible i know more on the topic than the believers do. The problem with experiences is that they are experienced. When I was quite young, I remember that I was visited. But today, I do not believe in alien visitation. Figure that one out, Kemmerer.
True they can , but in Richard Dolan's book it is based on facts, as in documents Just read a book for the first time in awhile!!!!
Nope, it's actually called "Maturing" - growing OUT of a childish mind. Which many here, including you, have not yet done.
It's more interesting than that. It's the way our brains work and the tricks that can do on memories. Look up pareidolia. Also, look up paralytic sleep.
