So who wants to build a hovering laser mounted black widow and brown recluse hunter robot. Designed to shoot a laser directly at the spiders head and instantly boil its brains. It can also park on a table or chair and any spiders in the area would be shot with its laser, landing on the table or chair allows it to conserve batteries.

I have already built such a device. It works well but has a few bugs (pun not intended). The device will occasionaly misidentify a spider, I have seen it kill both a Wolf Spider and a Jumping Spider. Since both of these are not dangerous and beneficial, I decided to shelve the project. The other problem is that I could not seem to properly tune the anti gravity drive and the higgs partilce beam would occasionally get off track. After my cat floated away, well that was the last straw.

A tachyon phase inhibitor works wonders for particle beam drift.
I'm curious how you solved the power cell problem- Shrinking a computer that could run those calculations down to that size wasn't too difficult, but getting portable power to it, along with the phase discriminators and forward cannons kept me stumped. I finally just created a stationary micro fusion reactor which beamed electricity to the robot through subspace.
I know... primitive. But it was the best I could come up with.
