That same wise girlfriend said, "For a woman, everything is foreplay."
Australians and Americans don't actually speak the same language.

Exactly. The so called "expert" is pretty clueless on that one.
The original version was you put a penny in each time you have sex during your first year of marriage

I think most married men would get laid more if they just pretended they were still dating their wives. Manners can never be underestimated

As we get older, the scope of our imagination dwindles. Adults who still have the imaginative skills of children can become highly successful writers and other kinds of creative artists.

The longer two people stay married, the more issues accrete that conflict with the very concept of dating. Many of them are quite important, so it's unreasonable to suggest that either spouse can put them out of mind. Most of us are lucky if we can forget about that stuff for an hour before bedtime in order to create a romantic mood. And luckier still if a mere hour was sufficient to do the job.

And lots of people can't even do that.

It's funny how many times I have read comments like orleanders with the come back being "maybe if SHE acted as she did when we were dating I would". Personally I remember something mum said a while ago (can't remember the context but the comment stuck). After 20 years together I don't WANT the relationship we had when we started, it would just be weird and wrong if your father said "maybe there's something to this romance stuff" I want the relationship we HAVE based on our 20 years together"

Dating is about getting to know someone, if your still getting to know your partner after 32 years your doing something wrong. Mum and dad don't even say what they want the other person to know most of the time, they just look at a situation together and KNOW what the other person is thinking. The same to a slightly lesser extent with PB and I who have been together almost 10 years

LOL, I seriously doubt my husband would want me as I was when we were dating. He has told people I was the most virginal woman he had ever met (which he saw as a challenge) and I had been married with a child. Sexually, we are where we are because of him not giving up and breaking through my very strict Christian ideas of thinking "only whores do that".

How many husbands on this board got oral sex this morning? How many are getting sex in the pool after the kids are asleep?

And Asguard, considering you are STILL dating with a 20 yr plan to get married, well, what do you know about it??

Every man should have a personal slut for his woman. Sounds like your husband is a lucky man.

Legally 5 years ago when we moved in together and the bills were put into joint names. At that point if we broke up we could use the family court to distribute our assets, we became the default medical power of attorney for each other, we are entitled to recive the benefits from each other, we could claim one of us as a dependent spouse and every other legal benifit that is granted to a married couple. It's called "defacto" as you well know because have discussed it before, the piece of paper is a worthless expense that is a low priority for the 2 of us. Further more I find it insulting that you would dismiss all same sex relationships no matter how long they have even together as "dating" concidering that the marriage act forbids them to get married at the moment. And lastly my uncles "marriage" lasted 18 months, his defacto relationship has lasted 20 years. Which is the REAL "marriage"

dangit Asguard, is AMAZING how many things you have read or heard that you have no proof of. OK, how about the authors name? The title? I can find it myself if you give more info than 'holistic wisdom'.
