You miss the point that you cannot 'generate' anything let alone any geometric construct frames of reference. As synthsin75 at physforum says, the space distance is only measured between objects, not as space itself in the absence of objects to measure between.

So your geometric construct is nothing but empty meaningless "space" unless you have another object to 'relate' with respect to.

Your getting lost in abstractions and not following context. I wanted clarification about what SR can or cannot say when a lone planet exist in otherwise empty universe 'space'.

You have not addressed that aspect but merely repeated the same SR perspectives which I am asking for clarification of its APPLICABILITY AT ALL in such a 'domain' as represented by my stripped down scenario.

Just saying the same old things and not addressing the points and aspects presented in context is just wasting everybody's time, Tach.

It was unjustified and an abuse of power/scientific integrity on the part of the moderator there, and everyone knows it.

What has that to do with what synthsin75 said about space distances?

You simply go for making gossip and science-empty posts instead of addressing what he said and its implications for your 'generating' such a construct in empty space without any other thing but that lone planet.

The pattern is becoming sharply clear for everyone, Tach. You post gossip and insult to avoid facing the implications of what was presented.

Not to mention you still haven't realised what the difference is between one effect (time dilation) and another effect (doppler effect) which may be used to demonstrate the first effect.

Okay, we're done here. It's been getting more and more "You're a troll!", "Well you're an idiot!"-like and now the signal to noise ratio is below an acceptable level.

If someone is really desperate to continue the discussion then I suggest you start a new thread with a very clearly defined premise and point of discussion and stick to it. Reopening this thread will just leave too many half addressed points open to further argument and cleaning up the last half dozen pages would amount to a slash and burn on the discussion.
