I started a intensity training workout for my arms and upper body and now I have stretch marks over the short head of my bicepts, right above its insertion below the shoulder muscles. That was about 1 month ago. What do I do?
It doesn't always go away. I've had stretch marks just underneath my arms(latissmus dorsi) for years. They have faded to be skin color though, but I still have little long-ass grooves in my skin.
K, thanks for the heads up - they are still small [about the size of the tip of the thumb to the first joint], so they will be manageable.
A small cost for added muscle and strength. After a few decades of life you will acquire many more such marks and they will become less important to you than those muscles and the improvement in your health they signal. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
There's a thread on stretchmarks here: http://www.sciforums.com/showthread.php?t=109566 They do fade over time. I used some cocoa butter too, I think that has helped, or maybe I just like the smell of chocolate. Please Register or Log in to view the hidden image!
